Headcanon: Skye's radiant powers hurt her if she doesn't conjure them with the pure radiant power.

it was a surprise none of the other agents had found out yet. She couldn't heal herself and she refused to see Sage over it, instead keeping the scars and marks as a reminder to herself to try harder. Anytime she used any of her talisman, or abilities, she feels a burning sensation in her arms for the duration and for a good while after, leaving her hands trembling. she was lucky that she usually was in the back healing her team or using her talismans for information to help them, so she rarely saw the front lines so it was easy to hide the pain from the other agents, though there were a few close calls.

Skye had been hiding behind the corner of A back, and sent out her trailblazer to stun and blind the first wave so the duelist can finish them off. She whimpered faintly leaning against the wall as she tried to push through the pain and help her teammates. hearing footsteps coming towards her through A back she pushed herself off the wall to see Killjoy round the corner, said engineer already had a nanoswarm out to throw when she paused. "Skye? your breathing way to heavy you okay?" Skye waved off Killjoys concern already knowing the engineer saw the sweat on her forehead and scrunched face. "Im fine. worry about Omega before they plant.." She said quickly, adjusting her gun before running forward. Refusing to look back at the analyzing glare of the  engineer as she positioned herself to hold arms still shaking faintly, and the burning sensation still in her arms but she fought through it to help her team.

Skye was in her room, examining the dark trails on her arms. its been a few days since the last mission and now her entre arms where covered in scars. they all looked like plants circling her arms like what her radinet abilities does and she sighs. she knows the others are starting t get confused as to why there seems to be more and more scars on her arms, though they haven't asked yet. A sudden knock on her door snapped Skye out of her thoughts and she stood confused for a few moments before opening the door. Yoru and Sage had been standing in the hallway, both turning to her as the door opened. "Ah hello Skye, i know you usually can handle this yourself, but Yoru came to me asking for help?" Sage said quickly, motioning to where Yoru stood just to the right, smiling guilty as Skye narrowed her eyes. "whadda he say?" Skye turned her gaze away from her boyfriend and to the healer in front of her. "He was just wondering if i was able to heal your scars? i can just fine, but he also said you look always in pain if you use your abilities? which shouldn't be happening? Skye froze slightly at that bit of news. she knew for a fact that she was usually out of his sight when she uses her abilities, so how Yoru knows was beyond her, unless Killjoy told him. "Don't worry about it Sage, i can heal myself just fine mate, and just been a little sore nothing i can't handle." Skye said quickly, brushing off Sages help. "If you're sure skye, though just know i can mend the soreness, and scars." "I know sage, dont worry! thanks for the concern though." Sage just nodded and left heading back towards the common room, Yoru stood there unsure if he should leave or not when skye turned to him and shook her head. "You big doofus." before letting him in and spending the rest of her day with him

Skye knew she had to learn to use her power at 100%, and trained hard for it everyday. though it was very slow uphill battle. One day doon her arms will no longer feel like they were being burned, and the scars will no longer grow on her arms.
