Ever since seeing Alastor a few days ago I have been constantly replaying the event over and over in my head. I can't help but feel giddy every time I recall his confession of planning to ask me out.

I'm so excited to the point someone would probably think I got proposed to at this rate. There's just something about the idea of being Alastor's girlfriend that makes me absolutely giddy. I can barely focus on anything else, my mind constantly returning to our conversation at the book club.

I begin to hum along with the song I placed on the record player as I finish getting the store ready and flip the sign to open. After flipping the sign to open I settle behind the counter, waiting for customers to come in.

The morning passes by slowly, with only a few customers coming and going. I make sure to greet each of them politely, the thoughts of Alastor still lingering in the back of my mind.

Despite the boredom of the slow business today, I can barely keep my mind focused on the task at hand. Every time the bell rings and a new customer walks in I perk up, secretly hoping that it might be Alastor.

Even though I know he's at work right now I can't stop myself from getting excited each time. I shake my head, trying to snap myself out of this excited haze. I force myself to focus on the tasks at hand, sorting through some records that need organizing.

I turn my attention back to the task at hand, focusing on organizing a stack of records. But every so often my mind drifts and all I can think about is the fact that Alastor wants to ask me out.

I can't help but laugh at myself as I realize how giddy I am at the prospect of Alastor asking me out. I feel like a schoolgirl with a crush on the most popular boy in school.

Despite my efforts to focus on the task at hand, my lips can't help but curve into a smile as I organize the records. The thought of Alastor asking me out keeps invading my mind, making me feel like a lovesick fool.

The bell chimes as the door opens and another customer walks in. I push away all thoughts of Alastor for the moment, plastering a polite smile on my face as I greet them.

"Hello, welcome in." I greeted the new customer. "Please let me know if you need any help finding something." The customer nods, taking in the selection of records on display.

"I'm mostly just looking, but thank you," they reply, before drifting off to browse the shelves. As the customer explores the isles, I return to my task of organizing the records, my mind momentarily diverted from thoughts of Alastor.

As closing time approached, I began tidying up the store, making sure everything was in its proper place. The lack of customers made the time drag slightly, but my mind was still swimming with thoughts of Alastor.

Once the store is locked and the sign is flipped to closed, I finish tidying up the last of the remaining tasks, wiping down the counters and straightening out any misplaced records.

A small satisfied smile forms on my lips as I look around at the shop. A gentle knock on the glass makes me jump slightly. I turn towards the door at the sound of the knock, heart giving a slight jump in surprise. Peeking through the glass is none other than Alastor, a small smile on his face.

My face lights up as I make my way over to the door. I unlock the door and swing it open, a smile of my own plastered on my face as I look at him. "Hey, what are you doing here?" I ask, trying to keep my excitement in check.

Alastor grins at my question, clearly amused by my attempt to rein in my excitement. "Well, I was hoping to see you." he replies nonchalantly, leaning against the door frame.

Somehow my smile gets larger. "Well it's a good thing you caught me before I left." Alastor chuckles at my reaction, clearly enjoying the way his presence affects me. "I was afraid I might've missed you." he admits, his eyes glinting playfully.

"A few minutes later and you would have." I then step to the side slightly. "Want to come in?" Alastor nods, pushing off from the door frame and walking through the entrance. "I'd love to." he replies, his tone nonchalant but his eyes betraying a hint of eagerness.

I follow him inside after closing the door and locking it again. "So, what's this visit for?" I grin playfully. Alastor shrugs nonchalantly, leaning against the counter. "Can't I just drop by to see my favorite record store owner?" he replies, a hint of a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. I begin to grin. "You can." Alastor's smirk widens at my grin as he leans closer to me. "Good. Because I was hoping I could ask you something."

"And what would that be?" I ask as I place my hand on my hip and tilt my head. Alastor chuckles softly at my response, his gaze fixated on my face. "I've been meaning to ask you something for a while now, actually," he begins, his tone holding a hint of playful mystery.

I pretend to think. "Hmm. I wonder what it could be." I hum out. Alastor raises an eyebrow, amused by my feigned ignorance. "Oh, I think you might have a pretty good idea." he responds, a smirk still tugging at the corners of his lips.

"Oh do I?" I say pretending to be shocked. "Might have to refresh my memory." Alastor chuckles again, shaking his head in mock exasperation. "You're not gonna make this easy, are you?" he remarks, his tone holding a hint of playful challenge.

He walks closer to me and puts his hands on my waist pulling me in as he speaks. I rest my hands on his shoulders as I smile up at him innocently. "Not at all."

Alastor pulls me closer, his hands firm yet gentle on my waist. He gazes down at me, a mixture of playful irritation and affection in his eyes. "You're lucky you're cute." he mutters lightly.

I laugh slightly keeping the innocent smile on my face. "So, what is it that you wanted to ask me?" Alastor's grip on my waist tightens slightly as he looks down at me, his gaze becoming more serious for a moment. "I was wondering..." he begins, his tone slightly hesitant before his usual charming facade returns, "if you'd like to be my girlfriend?"

My smile widens as I wrap my arms around his neck. "Yes yes yes." I repeat happily. Alastor grins at my enthusiastic affirmation, clearly pleased with my response. Without warning, he suddenly lifts me up and spins me around, my laughter filling the air.

When he sets me back down on my feet, his arms remain around me, pulling me close against him. "I'm glad you said yes." he whispers, his tone softer now.

"I'm glad you finally asked me." I tease. Alastor rolls his eyes playfully, a smirk tugging at his lips. "Oh, you're gonna be a handful, aren't you?" he remarks, pulling me even closer.

I begin to laugh again as I grin up at him. "Oh absolutely." Alastor laughs along with me, his arms tightening around me. "I wouldn't want it any other way," he murmurs, leaning down to place a light kiss on my forehead.

My face immediately heats up from the small kiss he placed on my forehead. Alastor notices the flush of heat on my face and grins, clearly pleased by my reaction. "You're blushing," he comments, his smirk growing wider.

"Nope." I say, shaking my head. "Definitely not." Alastor laughs out loud at my denial. "Oh really? So your face just turns rosy for no reason?" he teases, his smirk never wavering.

I nod while continuing to smile at him. "Exactly." Alastor's grin widens even further, clearly amused by my stubbornness. He brings one hand up to gently brush a strand of hair away from my face, his fingers tracing the contour of my cheek.

"You're a terrible liar, you know that?" he teases, his tone affectionate. "Which is why I never said I was a good one." I counter playfully. Alastor bursts out laughing, clearly entertained by my response. "Fair enough," he concedes, his hand still lingering near my face. "But I still enjoy watching your face grow red when I compliment you."

"Oh trust me I know." I roll my eyes, continuing with my playful act. He grins widely, enjoying the playful banter we've fallen into. "You're cute when you're flustered, I can't help myself." He replies, his tone dripping with faux innocence.

Beginning to laugh again I look up at him with a soft smile. "Always the charmer aren't you?" Alastor laughs along with me before meeting my gaze, his own expression softening at the sight of my smile. "Only for you," he replies, his tone earnest yet still holding his hint of charming playfulness.
