Theodore, who's sitting at his usual spot behind the front desk, looks up as I step into the building. His face forms a large smile as he acknowledges my presence.
"It's been a while. How are you doing?" He asks as he greets me happily. I give him a smile in return as I respond. "Hello Theodore. I've been good, how about yourself?"
His smile never wavers. "Can't complain." He replies cheerfully. "You're here to see Alastor, I presume?" I nod. "That I am. He should be on his lunch break soon right?" I ask as I glance over at a clock on a nearby wall.
Theodore checks the clock as well, his eyes quickly checking the time. "Should be, yes. Probably finishing up his show right about now. You can head to his office if you'd like, I'm sure he won't mind you waiting in there."
"Perfect." I hum out. "Thanks Theodore." I give him a small wave before I make my way through the halls to Alastor's office. As I make my way through the halls, I pass by various people going about their work, some of whom offer me brief nods of greeting.
Eventually, I arrive at Alastor's office and make my way inside to wait for him. The office is quiet as I enter, the usually vibrant atmosphere replaced by a peaceful stillness. I walk over to Alastor's desk and take note of the scattered papers.
I chuckle as I take a closer look at the messy desk. It's so unlike Alastor's usual tidiness, it's almost funny. I gently pick up a stray piece of paper from the desk and flip through it.
A small smile forms on my lips as I examine the script, recognizing it as one of his most recent broadcasts. The messy notes and scribbles on the paper show that he was really focused on getting it just right.
I place the page back down before walking over to the large window. I stare out the window, my mind beginning to wander a bit as I admire the view.
I jump slightly as I feel arms wrap around me from behind. Alastor's voice suddenly breaks through to me, a familiar, teasing hum. "Well, hello, darlin'." He whispers into my ear.
"Hello." I say with a large smile, sinking into his embrace. Alastor's arms tighten around me, drawing me closer to him as he presses his chest against my back.
He rests his chin on the top of my head, a soft hum coming from him as he holds me. "I didn't expect you to stop by." He murmurs, sounding pleasantly surprised. "I wanted to surprise you and have us go eat somewhere on your lunch break." I reply happily.
Alastor turns me around so I'm facing him, his arms still wrapped around me. He looks down at me with a soft, affectionate look in his eyes. "Anywhere in particular you want to go?" He asks as his thumbs brush against my sides.
I shake my head. "You can pick. I don't have a preference." Alastor ponders for a moment, his eyes narrowing slightly in thought. He hums quietly as he considers his answer, his thumbs still brushing against my sides in a small, soothing motion.
Finally, he breaks his silence. "I know a place." He then loosens his grip on me slightly, only to grab my hand instead and begin leading me out of his office.
As we walk, he looks down at me, his gaze filled with a mixture of affection and mild excitement. "I think you'll really like this place." He says with a smile.

After a brief walk, Alastor leads me to a small, cozy-looking restaurant tucked into a quiet corner of the city. The smell of spices and fresh bread wafts out into the street, and the warm glow of lights from within adds to the inviting atmosphere.
Alastor opens the door for me, ushering me inside with a charming smile. "After you." He says, gesturing for me to go in first. I give him a small thank you as I make my way inside.
