THE LAST MISSION

CHAPTER 17

"Put me down."

Sinunod nya naman ang sinabi ko at marahan akong binaba. Kinuha nya ang sandal ko at sya na mismo ang humawak non. I started walking then he followed silently.

"I wanna see the sunset." I said.

Malapit na lumubog ang araw kaya huminto ako at tinignan ang magandang tanawin. Who wouldn't like this scenery. It's so breathtaking. I was thinking deeply watching the sun go down and slowly the stars appear and the moon takes place.

"I only have 4 months left before someone takes my place as your bodyguard." Tumingin ako sa kanya at nahuling nakatingin na ito sakin.

"I like you, Yshera." He said it was full of sincerity and gentleness.

The wind blows my hair away and I smile at him sweetly. He is watching me, his eyes soften and chuckled softly before fixing my hair.

"I know you have doubts. I'm a player. You saw it a lot of times. But please believe me when I tell you I like you. I know you find me annoying but I love the way I get your attention. Like I crave for it. I like everything in you, Yshera. Please, give me a chance."

Humarap ako sa kanya. He looks so desperate. How come this powerful man begging me to like him back.

"But I'm leaving."

"I'll wait for you." He said with so much determination.

"I'll wait. How long? A months? Years? A decade? I'll wait." He added.

Umiling ako dahil alam ko hanggang salita lang iyon. He'll wait? Gauis has a very small patience. Impossibleng hihintayin nya ako. I'm not even sure if I'm coming back.

"You're full of words."

"Then take a risk with me." Our eyes met. His dark eyes was full of emotion. It's the first time. He never shows his emotion. Pero ngayon he looks like he's begging, he's desperate.

Oh Gauis...

I held his cheek and caressed it. He closed his eyes and held my hand. Wanting for more. My heart beats fast. I'm not a fool. This is why I hate being with him before. My heart react like a fool.

Walang sabi ko hinawakan ang kwelyo ng polo nya at hinatak sya papalapit sakin bago ko sya bigyan ng mabilis na halik. He looked shocked and taken aback. Nabato ito kaya natawa ako ng mahina. I fixed hid hair and kisses his cheek.

"Okay. Let's take a risk."

Malakas itong bumuga ng hangin at agad napaluhod sa harap ko. Parang nawalan ito ng lakas habang hawak ang bewang ko. Narinig ko itong nagmura at niyakap ng mahigpit ang bewang ko.

"Fuck! Fucking yes!"

"G-Gauis, tumayo ka nga dyan." Sita ko.

He look up and our eyes immediately met. He smiled. He smiled so happily. Ang ganda ng ngiti nya. It's so beautiful that I almost forgot to breathe. That's how much effect Gauis cause me.

"Yes, maylsh. Let's take a risk." He whispered softly.

We're taking risk. We're risking our hearts, because we know at this will not last. One of us will bleed, break, and crumbled. And we are taking risk loving each other even though we know that this will not last. But we know, we gave each other comfort and warmth, and even for a short moment we want that comfort and warmth to be felt.

Tumayo ito at hinawakan ang pisngi ko. He smiled widely and gave me a quick kiss on the lips. Hindi mawala ang ngiti ito, he look so happy. I like this part of him. He's so bright, full of life, so alive and happy. I hope this part of him never dies.
