A heavy arm was wrapped around my waist. I can feel his face in my nape. I gulped and slowly turned and I was not disappointed to see who it was. Gauis. Braso nito ang gamit kong unan. Napansin kong may kumot na ako. I smiled softly. You're gonna be the death of me, Gauis. I caressed his cheek gently. I stopped when I realized he cut his hair. He looks exactly like the Gauis I fell in love with.

I glanced at Gauis and smiled. Looks like he saw small wounds on my  feet. Walang ingay akong umalis sa kwarto at naligo. I wore my maid uniform and tied my hair into a half ponytail.

I was cooking braised potatoes with beef, and made fresh orange juice. Pano koto uubusin?

After I finished cooking. I decided to make donuts. I was folding the flour Gauis came out fresh, like he just got out of the shower.

"What are you making?" He asked while drying his hair with a small towel. I forgot to mention he is half-naked. I gulped and looked away.

"Gagawa ako ng donut." Sagot ko.

"You could have asked me if you wanted a donut. I will buy it for you." Umupo siya habang nakaharap sakin.

"Okay lang. Gusto ko kasi mag-aral magbake." Tumigil muna ako sa ginagawa at nagsimulang pagsilbihan siya.

He just stared at me intently, and after a second, he helped me. Siya ang naglagay ng pakain sa mesa. He placed two plates on the table, which confused me.

"May bisita ka ba, sir?"

He stopped and frowned. " None. Why?"

"Dalawa kasi ang plato nilagay mo." Turo ko sa plato.

"We're eating together."

Eh?

"Bakit po?"

"Why not. Finish that I'll wait for you."

I put the dough in the big bowl, wrapped it with plastic, and put it inside the fridge. I sat beside him and he started putting food in my plate, juice in my cup. In short he's serving me. That's my job.

"Tell me what happened to your feet?" He asked while eating. He is not looking at me, and his voice is dead serious.

"Uhm... Ganon talaga ang paa ko. Medyo sensitive. Nakalimutan ko kasi suotin ang tyinelas ko kagabi." Pagsisinungaling ko.

Ang pangit ko naman magsinungaling. Really? Nakalimutan? Baliw kamo.

"Why?"

"Huh?" He stopped eating, wiped his lips with the napkin, and drank the juice quietly making me anxious.

"The man is gone. Where is he? What happened while I'm gone, Yshera?" He asked him to put down the glass. He is scary. He is calm but it feels like he is killing you slowly and painfully.

I sighed and looked down. "He died. So I buried him outside barefoot."

I heard him sigh. "You realize you have sensitive skin, right?"

"Of course–"

"Then why the heck did you go out barefoot?" He looks pissed.

Didn't he just hear I buried someone? What is wrong with this man?! Bahala sya diyan.
