THE LAST MISSION

CHAPTER 32

"Ysa." Tawag sakin ni Angela gamit ang peke kong pangalan. Nilingon ko siya at nasa gilid kona ito.

She also looked around, and when my attention went back to the figure I saw earlier, it was already gone. My teeth gritted.

"May pupuntahan lang ako." Akmang aalis na ako ng hawakan ni Angela ang braso ko.

She looked at me with disagreement writteonin her face. "The last time I let you go was also the last time I lost you. No. I'm coming."

I looked at her sadly, and she was determined not to let me go. "I'll be fine. I just need to check something. Do you really think Hades will let someone have a birthday party?"

Hindi parin ito na kuntento sa sinabi ko. Hinawakan ko ang kamay niya na nakahawak sa braso ko at ngumiti sa kanya ng matamis. Assuring her that it's alright. Her gripped loosen and nodded reluctantly.

"H'wag ka mawala sa paningin ko." I nodded and left.

I look around hanggang nakarating ako sa malaking puno na may maraming fairy lights. Hindi ito kalayuan at ramdam ko ang tingin sakin ni Angela. I sighed heavily. She's really scared after what happened to me. I'm grateful and sad because of that.

"Still good at hiding from the dark," I said coldly.

Not a minute later, someone showed up beside the big tree in front of me.  He is wearing a black suit. Nasa likod ang dalawang kamay niya habang nakatingin sakin ng mariin. I want to kill him. I want to strangle him to death. I'm still mad–no, I'm furious. Every time I remember him, I'm all I want to wish him dead, but not anymore. All I wanted now was to find my dogs and leave.

"And you're still good at identifying someone from afar." He replied.

"What are you doing here?"

"I have something you want."

Agad nakuha ang atensyon ko. I crossed my arms and smirked. "You have." His dead body.

"I know you want me dead, but I have your children, and if you kill me you'll never find them."

I knew it. I knew from the fucking start. He is really getting on my nerves. My jaw clenched in madness.

"Where are they?" My voice sounds so cold and determined.

May kinuha ito sa loob ng suit niya at isang puting sobre ito. He handed it to me. That easy? Mabilis ko itong kinuha.

"What are you planning to do?"

"Nothing. Watch I think." He shrugged.

"Fuck you, Matteo." I hissed. He laughed and shrugged nonchalantly.

Binuksan ko ang sobre at binuksan ang paper sa loob. My heart stopped the moment I saw the picture of my dogs. All four of them.  Parang nawalan ako ng hininga at nanginginig ang katawan ko. Sa likod ng papel ay nakalagay ang address kung saan sila.

Switzerland?

Nasa Switzerland sila?

"Matteo, what are they doing–"

Naputol ang sinabi ko ng hindi kona makita sa paligid si Matteo. I bit my lower lip and I immediately went back to where Angela is. Nandon parin siya at nanonood sakin.

"Who's that?" She asked immediately.

"Someone I used to know."

She nodded. "Is everything alright?"
