Y/n pov:

Tonight was the bonfire. Newt had left the tower earlier to set up for it. I watched the sunset and then clambered down slowly. The pain slightly better than yesterday but not very much. I walked over to the bonfire as they lit it up. Cheers erupted and we all started the traditions. Gally, of course, fighting anyone willing.
I grabbed a drink off of Fry and gulped it down. Whatever was in it always helped my pain so I was always eager to drink it. Once I finished the first I grabbed a second and headed over to Minho. We sat talking and laughing.
Newt was sitting down by a log, with the greenie talking. I hated how close they were getting, but I knew that greenie needed him so I just ignored them. We headed over to where Gally was fighting people and watched. By this point I was already on my 5th drink and boy was I drunk. Then greenie walked over and the gladers convinced him to go up against him. Greenie was doing very well but Gally thrashed him to the floor.
"Ha. Nice work greenie." Gally said tauntingly.
"My names not greenie. It's Thomas." He said quietly.
"Thomas! That's my name! Thomas!" He shouted. We all cheered and clapped.
The evening continued and I had had about 10 drinks now. We all decided to sit in a circle and play truth or dare.
"Truth or dare Y/n?" Daniel asked from across the circle.
"Dare." I said my head spinning.
"Sing us a song." He said smiling.
I stood up and walked toward the bonfire.

Once upon a younger year
When all our shadows disappeared
The animals inside came out to play
Went face to face with all our fears
Learned our lessons through the tears
Made memories we knew would never fade
One day, my father, he told me, "Son, don't let it slip away"
He took me in his arms, I heard him say
"When you get older your wild heart will live for younger days
Think of me if ever you're afraid"

*The boys join in for the chorus*

He said, "One day, you'll leave this world behind
So live a life you will remember"
My father told me when I was just a child
"These are the nights that never die"
My father told me

"When thunderclouds start pouring down
Light a fire they can't put out
Carve your name into those shining stars"
He said, "Go venture far beyond the shores
Don't forsake this life of yours
I'll guide you home no matter where you are"
One day, my father, he told me, "Son, don't let it slip away"
When I was just a kid, I heard him say
"When you get older your wild heart will live for younger days
Think of me if ever you're afraid"

*The boys join in once again*

He said, "One day, you'll leave this world behind
So live a life you will remember"
My father told me when I was just a child
"These are the nights that never die"
My father told me
"These are the nights that never die"
My father told me
My father told me

All the boys clapped and cheered as we danced around the fire. At this point I was drunk to the point I could barely remember my own name.
It helped with everything. The pain, my mental health, it helped me forget about everything. Newt walked over to me.
"Hey Y/n you ok?" He asked me with a smile.
"Ooohhhh I ammm soooooo gooood." I laughed dancing about.
"How many drinks have you had Y/n?"
He asked with a slightly concerned look on his face.
"I dooont know. Maybeee 13??" I slurred continuing my dancing.
He didn't even say anything and just picked me up bridal style.
"Hahahaha you are soooo hot." I laughed on his arms. He just smiled.
"You are so drunk." He laughed.
He opened the door to our hut and placed me down on the bed. I fell asleep almost immediately.

-Newt's pov:

I had spent the entire bonfire with the greenie talking to him. He seemed pretty nice. After a few hours of talking we headed over to where Gally was fighting another glader. The crowd seemed to start shouting greenie and he was pushed into the circle. Oh no.
After Gally beat the bloody hell out of the poor boy, he stood up and started to shout.
"Thomas! That's my name! Thomas!"
We all cheered.

- time skip -
Y/n had finished singing her song and we were all just laughing and dancing around the glade. I made my way through the crowd toward her.
"Hey Y/n you ok?" I asked, her eyes meeting mine.
"Ooohhhh I ammm soooooo gooood." She laughed dancing around. Jesus Christ she was so drunk.
I started to worry. Normally when she drinks this much, it means she is going through a lot. It all depends on the number of drinks she has.
"How many drinks have you had Y/n?"
I asked dreading her answer.
"I dooont know. Maybeee 13??" She slurred back.
Shit. I knew she would probably not notice because of how drunk she was but I decided to act like I wasn't worried.
I picked her up bridal style and started to walk towards our hut.
"Hahahaha you are soooo hot." She said staring at my chest. I smiled.
"You are so drunk." I laughed back.
I opened the door to the hut and laid her down on the bed. She turned over and fell asleep immediately. I sat down, slipping off my boots. I sat there for a while just thinking. Y/n had seemed fine since she was stung and she hadn't told me anything about something being wrong. She had been through a lot. And I mean a lot. I couldn't bare to think that she was still going through shit. Eventually I fell asleep.
