Her banging got more and more frantic, and I jumped when I heard another sound from the other side of the car - a man plastering himself against Newt's window, crazed eyes dripping some black tar like liquid. Within second the whole car was surrounded and, with no better escape I bent over my legs, placing my hands over my head as I heard Thomas telling Fry to get moving.

Fry floored the car as I dug my head even further into my knees, doing my best not to get thrown to the front of the car and get a concussion or something. I lifted my head just enough to see one of the cranks who had clung onto the car somehow, hang on with one hand and start punching at Fry's window. He swerved the car into the side of one of the other broken down vehicles and smashed the mans body into it - leaving him behind, most likely dead.

I turned back to see the bodies running after our car to their best extent, trying desperately to get to us... to do what, I wasn't sure. "FRY WATCH OUT!" I heard Thomas yell from behind me, and as I swiveled my head to face the front again, I was greeted by a sudden jerk, our whole car suddenly smashing into something and getting flung into the air.

The next second, we had crashed down to the ground again, but I could feel my head being pulled down through the pain and dizziness that took over my body once again. We were upside down. I couldn't move at all, because of the shock or some injure my brain hadn't yet processed, I wasn't sure. But I couldn't do anything as I heard Thomas and Newt coughing in the backseats, one of them switching on a light.

"Fry, Seph, cover your eyes!" Thomas yelled, but the best I could do was turn my head away slightly as the boy kicked out one of the windows, managing to crawl out of the upturned car. A few seconds later I head another door bang open as Newt's voice cried out in pain - I couldn't see him to know what exactly was wrong. "Okay, Seph, Fry, you guys alright? I-" Thomas started again through fits of coughs, but was cut of by an unearthly scream that came from somewhere behind us, no doubt a crank.

"Shit. Come on, guys we've got to move now! Come on!" Newt screamed, kneeling down next to my door and managing to yank it open somehow. "Sephora, are you okay?" his voice suddenly turned worried as I turned my head to face him, seeing his dark eyes filled with worry. I mustered whatever energy I had in my body to nod painfully, lifting my shaking hand to unclasp the seatbelt I had had on, letting my body sag to the roof of the car for a second.

Newt grabbed hold of my hand and helped me maneuver my legs around, twisting enough to crawl out of the car. The more feeling returned to my body, the more a sharp pain in my stomach became clearer, but I couldn't focus on that right now - seeing a crank running at us full speed, barely ten feet away. "Fry! Come on man, we gotta go! Come on!" Thomas screamed, as I saw the other boy still half in the car, as if looking for something.

"FRY COME ON!" Newt hollered when the crank was merely a foot or two away from us, and I pushed one of my hands into my jacket pocket, trying to pull out my gun knowing it was already too late for that. But as the crank reached out to grab Thomas, a shot rang out from behind us, causing the thing to let out of last wrenched groan, falling to the ground.

I turned to see Frypan standing there with a shotgun help in his hands. "Nice shot." Thomas said in a soft voice, but the celebration didn't last long. He held the torch up again, highlighting at least another five or six cranks running our way. "Okay, we've got to go, now!" he said again, turning and starting to move down the tunnel once again.

"Seph?" Newt was standing next to me when he realised I hadn't moved. "Hey, what's wrong?" But I couldn't reply as I grasped onto his jacket to stop myself from falling, the pain in my abdomen only increasing every second. "Woah, woah there," the blonde exclaimed, grabbing hold of my before I collapsed. He looked down at his hands on my waist and gasped, pulling one away in horror as the saw it painted in red. Only then I realised the issue.
