Eddie's POV
I watch her skate away with Jeff, him teaching her some more tricks while I'm standing in the middle of the rink.. With her brother... Steve Harrington attached to my arms. This is definitely not how I saw our date going. Not me teaching her brother how to skate.
"Alright let's get this on the road." I turn my attention from Brook, and to Steve.
*Don't Bring Me Down - Electric Light Orchestra*
I have at least got Steve to stand up straight, and to not wobble near as bad. "How are you worse at this then your sister was?" His hands still on my forearms, but less pressure then before.
"I'm sorry I'm totally ruin your guys first date." Steve looks up to me, "I really didn't mean too."
I shake my head, "It's okay dude." We slowly pick up some speed and I teach him the basics. "Stopping is going to be fun to teach you."
"Why?" He asks, "I see you how you guys do it."
I pause for a moment, "Well that's not how you're suppose too. This is how you're suppose too." And I stop us, while on my tiptoes. "This is how."
He shakes his head back and forth. "Nope, nope I'm not doing that. Teach me the way you do it."
I chuckle and look over to see Nancy and Brook with their arms looped together and them laughing at some joke one of them probably said. Brook looks happy and then her and Nancy start dancing, and Jeff comes up in between them, spinning them both. I glance back to Steve, "You doing this to try and impress Nancy?" I flat out ask and his cheeks turn a little red.
"No. I actually had a date here but she cancelled." He admits, but watches his sister and Nancy pass us.
I sigh, "So you wanted to bring a girl here and you can't even skate?"
He panics, "I didn't think it'd be hard." He sighs, and I guide us over to the exit by the DJ booth. I'd love to teach him more, but I'm here on a date with his sister.
"You'll get use to it. Jeff and Garret are good teachers." I yell over the music, and grabbing my drink that's setting next to Jamie and taking a sip. Steve is hanging onto the wall, watching everyone skate and I'm just watching Brook laugh and be joyful. Jeff comes up behind Brook again, then corrects her on something she's trying to do. He skates next to her and shows her how to do it, standing on one leg then jumping to the other graciously.
"You're okay with that?" Steve glances back to me, and nudges his head towards his sister.
"Why wouldn't I be?" I ask, setting my drink down next to platform and leaning up against the wall next to Steve. "I don't have to worry about him trying anything with her. And I trust her."
Steve nods his head and we both watch Brook switch from one foot, and almost fumble the landing but catches herself last second. Both of us exhaling.
"I'll see if Jeff will teach you when he comes back over here. I might give him shit but he is a good teacher." I mention, "He did teach her some things."
"Yeah she mentioned it to me the other night. You know Jeff and I use to be friends?" I look over to Steve as he watches what I would assume is Nancy. "Good friends but then I got popular and was a year older."
"Hmmm. Okay." I acknowledge. Why has it gotten so weird to talk to Steve? It's probably because I'm dating his sister now. "I know for next weekend we only have a few of us planning to go, but should we invite them?" I point to them, "Jeff, Garret and Jamie. Brook seems to like them."
He shrugs his shoulder, "It's up to her but I wouldn't mind."
The song ends and the group makes their way over to us, all of them slowing down except Brook. She's cruising and headed right for the wall, or maybe she's aiming for me. She smiles, and slows down just enough to not knock me over. Thankfully I've got good balance or she would've knocked us both over. "You have fun?" I ask, looking down to her and going over and grabbing her the drink I got for her.
