The next morning, Y/N woke up feeling a bit better but still dreading the thought of taking her medicine. As she sat at the breakfast table, her parents brought over the small spoon filled with the dreaded liquid.
"Mama, no medicine!" Y/N protested, pushing the spoon away with a determined frown.
Her mother sighed softly, trying to find the right words to encourage her. "Sweetheart, you need to take your medicine to get all better."
Uncle Nick, Uncle Matt, and Uncle Chris, who had spent the night to help out, looked at each other, trying to come up with a way to make the process easier for Y/N.
Uncle Matt knelt down to Y/N's level, his eyes filled with understanding. "Hey, Y/N, remember how we said the medicine is like a magical potion? It'll help you become strong and healthy again."
Y/N pouted, crossing her arms stubbornly. "No like," she repeated, shaking her head.
Uncle Chris thought for a moment, then smiled brightly. "How about we make it a game? Every time you take your medicine, you get to do something fun with us. We can play your favorite game or watch a special show together."
Y/N's eyes lit up with interest, but she still hesitated. "Game?"
Uncle Nick joined in, his voice gentle. "Yes, Y/N. And we can start with your favorite – hide and seek. But only if you take your medicine first."
Y/N looked at the spoon of medicine, then at her uncles. She wanted to play hide and seek, but the thought of the bitter taste made her pause. Finally, with a small nod, she opened her mouth, allowing her mother to give her the medicine.
"There you go, Y/N! You're so brave," Uncle Matt praised her, giving her a big hug.
Uncle Nick and Uncle Chris cheered, clapping their hands. "Yay, Y/N!" they exclaimed, making her giggle.
True to their word, they spent the morning playing an enthusiastic game of hide and seek. Y/N’s laughter filled the house as she found the best hiding spots and giggled at her uncles’ exaggerated reactions when they were found.
Later, when it was time for her next dose of medicine, Y/N was more willing, remembering the fun they had. Uncle Matt had another idea to make it easier. "How about we do a countdown? We count to three, and then you take your medicine, and we can do something special right after."
Y/N nodded, her eyes focused on Uncle Matt. "Okay, Baba Matiyu."
Uncle Matt held the spoon and started counting, "One... two... three!"
Y/N quickly took the medicine, scrunching her face at the taste but managing to swallow it down.
"Good job, Y/N!" Uncle Matt cheered, giving her another big hug. "Now, how about a story?"
With each dose, they found new ways to encourage and reward her, turning a difficult task into a series of loving and supportive moments. As days passed, Y/N's health continued to improve, and her resistance to the medicine lessened, knowing her uncles and parents were always there to support and reward her bravery.
