Matt, at just 15 years old, was already a hero in the eyes of his little sister, Y/N. At three years old, Y/N idolized Matt and felt a deep bond with him. Her world revolved around him, and she couldn't bear the thought of sharing his attention with anyone else, especially not with other girls.

One afternoon, Matt decided to head to the community center. It was a favorite spot for local teens, and he had plans to meet up with his friend, Lily. Knowing he couldn’t leave Y/N at home, he brought her along, hoping she would enjoy the playground while he chatted with Lily.

When they arrived, Matt spotted Lily sitting at a picnic table, engrossed in a book. Y/N held his hand tightly, her eyes scanning the playground curiously. As they approached, Lily looked up and smiled warmly.

"Hey, Matt! Hi, Y/N!" Lily greeted them cheerfully.

Y/N’s grip on Matt’s hand tightened as she stared at Lily. Matt knelt down to Y/N’s level and gave her a reassuring smile. "Hey, why don’t you go play on the swings for a bit? I’ll be right here."

Y/N shook her head vehemently, her big eyes locking onto Matt’s. "No, I want to stay with you."

"Okay, you can stay," Matt said, lifting her into his arms. He turned to Lily and apologized, "Sorry, she's a bit clingy today."

Lily smiled understandingly. "No worries. She’s adorable."

As Matt and Lily started talking about school and mutual interests, Y/N grew increasingly agitated. She tugged at Matt’s shirt every time he tried to focus on Lily, doing everything she could to draw his attention back to her. She would point to random things, ask him nonsensical questions, and even pretended to be hurt.

"Matt, look! A butterfly!" she exclaimed, pointing to a spot in the air where there was clearly nothing.

"Really? Where?" Matt asked, indulging her with a gentle smile.

Lily chuckled, clearly catching on. "Looks like you’re quite the butterfly expert, Y/N."

But Y/N wasn’t interested in Lily’s attempts at friendliness. She turned her face away, snuggling closer to Matt. As the minutes ticked by, Matt realized Y/N’s antics were only escalating. She started pulling his hand, trying to drag him away from the picnic table.

"Y/N, what’s wrong?" Matt asked gently, kneeling down to meet her eyes.

"I want to play with you, Matt. Just you," Y/N said, her voice trembling slightly with frustration.

Understanding dawned on Matt. He realized that Y/N was feeling jealous and insecure about sharing his attention. He looked at Lily apologetically. "Sorry, Lily. I think I need to give Y/N some attention right now."

Lily nodded with a kind smile. "It’s okay, Matt. I understand. Maybe we can all play together?"

Matt turned to Y/N, brushing a stray lock of hair from her face. "How about we all play together, Y/N? Would that be okay?"
