--The following night, Y/n woke up again, her curiosity getting the better of her. She climbed out of her crib and made her way to the bathroom, hoping for another splashy adventure. When she reached the bathroom door, however, she found it locked.
Y/n frowned and jiggled the handle, but it wouldn’t budge. She pouted, her little brows furrowing in frustration. “No no, door,” she muttered, giving it one last tug.
Realizing she couldn’t get in, Y/n turned around and toddled down the hallway, searching for something else to do. She wandered into the living room, her eyes scanning the room for anything interesting.
Meanwhile, Chris woke up and decided to check on Y/n, remembering Matt’s story from the previous night. He got out of bed and quietly made his way to her room, only to find the crib empty.
His heart raced as he followed the faint sounds coming from the living room. There he found Y/n, standing by the couch, looking a bit lost.
“Hey there, little one,” Chris said softly, approaching her. “What are you doing up?”
Y/n turned to him, her frustration melting into relief. “Unca Cwis,” she said, reaching out for him.
Chris scooped her up into his arms. “Couldn’t sleep?” he asked, carrying her back to her room.
Y/n nodded, resting her head on Chris’s shoulder. “Door no open,” she explained, her voice sleepy.
Chris chuckled softly. “Yeah, we had to lock it so you wouldn’t get all wet again,” he said, kissing her forehead. “How about we read a story instead?”
Y/n’s eyes brightened at the suggestion. “Story!”
Back in her room, Chris settled into the rocking chair with Y/n on his lap. He grabbed one of her favorite storybooks from the shelf and began to read, his soothing voice filling the room. Y/n listened intently, her eyelids growing heavier with each page.
By the time Chris finished the story, Y/n was fast asleep. He carefully tucked her back into her crib, making sure she was snug and warm.
“Sweet dreams, Y/n,” he whispered, giving her a gentle pat.
As he left her room, Chris felt a sense of peace. He knew there would always be challenges and unexpected moments with Y/n, but they would handle them together, as a family.
The next morning, Y/n woke up in her crib, well-rested and happy. She called out for her uncles, and soon Matt, Chris, and Nick were all there, ready to start the day.
“Morning, Y/n,” Matt greeted, lifting her out of the crib. “How about some breakfast?”
Y/n nodded eagerly. “Eat eat!”
They all made their way to the kitchen, where Nick was already preparing pancakes. As they enjoyed their meal, Y/n’s adventure from the night before became a funny story, a reminder of the little moments that made their days special.
With each passing day, Y/n grew and learned, and her uncles cherished every moment, knowing that their bond would only grow stronger. And no matter what mischief or challenges came their way, they would always be there for each other, creating a lifetime of memories filled with love and laughter.
