The rest of the afternoon continued with the usual banter and laughter, but Matt couldn't seem to shake his embarrassment. As they settled back on the couch to watch another movie, Matt found himself drawn closer to Y/N. He wrapped his arms around her and buried his face in her neck, seeking comfort in her presence.

Y/N felt Matt's warm breath on her skin and smiled, gently stroking his back. "You okay, Matt?" she asked softly.

Matt nodded, his face still nestled in her neck. "Yeah, just... needed to be close to you."

Nick and Chris, sitting across the room, noticed Matt's clinginess. Nick nudged Chris and whispered, "Look at Matt. He's practically glued to Y/N."

Chris smirked. "Guess our teasing got to him more than we thought."

They both watched for a moment before Chris spoke up, unable to resist the opportunity to tease them again. "Hey, Matt, you planning on letting Y/N breathe anytime soon?"

Matt lifted his head slightly, still keeping Y/N close. "Very funny, Chris," he said, rolling his eyes but smiling.

Y/N chuckled, looking at Chris and Nick. "I don't mind. It's kinda cute, actually."

Nick grinned. "You two are too much."

As the movie played on, Matt remained close to Y/N, his arms securely around her. She could feel the tension in his body slowly dissipating, replaced by a sense of peace and contentment. It was clear that being near her brought him a sense of calm.

The evening passed in a comfortable, warm atmosphere. Eventually, the movie ended, and they all decided to call it a night. As they got up from the couch, Matt reluctantly let go of Y/N but kept her hand in his.

"Alright, time to get some sleep," Chris said, stretching. "You staying over, Y/N?"

Y/N glanced at Matt, who gave her a hopeful look. "If it's okay with you guys," she replied.

"Of course it is," Nick said, giving her a reassuring smile. "You're always welcome here."

They all headed upstairs to their respective rooms, and as Y/N and Matt reached his room, he pulled her into another hug. "Thanks for being here," he whispered.

Y/N hugged him back tightly. "Always, Matt. Now, let's get some rest."

They settled into bed, and Matt continued to cling to Y/N, his head resting on her shoulder. She held him close, feeling his steady breathing as he began to drift off to sleep.

As she lay there, Y/N felt an overwhelming sense of happiness and security. Despite the playful teasing and occasional awkward moments, she knew that her relationship with Matt was growing stronger every day. And as she closed her eyes, she felt a deep sense of contentment, knowing that they had a bright future ahead of them, filled with love and support from their friends.

The next morning, Nick and Chris were the first to wake up. As they headed downstairs to start their day, they were greeted by an unexpected but heartwarming sight. On the couch, Y/N and Matt had fallen asleep together, Y/N's head nestled comfortably in the crook of Matt's neck. Matt's arms were still wrapped protectively around her, and they both looked peaceful and content.
