Days and months rolled by, with the boys busy with their concerts.
"Hey, did you see our video with Maya? It's all over the internet!" Jin exclaimed, scrolling through his phone.
"Yeah, it's got millions of views already," Jungkook said, looking impressed. "Fans are loving it."
"It's amazing how a spontaneous dance session can create such a buzz," RM added thoughtfully.
"Definitely," Yoongi chimed in, smiling. "Maya's dance school is benefiting from it too. She's been getting a lot of new students."
"How’s she handling it?" Jimin asked, concerned.
"She's doing well," Yoongi replied. "It's a lot of work, but she's managing. We talk often, keeping each other motivated."
Despite their hectic schedules, Yoongi and Maya stayed connected through video calls. Yoongi, in particular, was swamped with concerts, productions, and preparing for his new album 'Daechwita.'
"Hey, superstar! I saw the video. You're amazing!" Yoongi grinned at the screen during one of their calls.
Maya laughed, "Thanks! The response has been overwhelming. I have so many new students now, and I’m getting offers to perform at different events."
"That’s fantastic!" Yoongi said. "Just don’t overwork yourself. You've got a lot on your plate."
"I know," Maya nodded. "But seeing you juggle your album and the tour inspires me. How’s 'Daechwita' coming along?"
"It’s almost ready," Yoongi said. "Just some final touches left. I can't wait for you to hear it."
"I can't wait either," Maya replied, her voice softening. "I miss you, Yoongi."
"I miss you too, Maya," Yoongi said. "But we’ll get through this. It’s just a busy phase."
Meanwhile, Maya was thriving in her career. Her dance shows were gaining more popularity, and her dance school was expanding rapidly. The turning point came when a video of Maya and BTS performing at London’s Covent Garden went viral, although it was captioned as "Army Day with BTS members."
"Yoongi, how’s Maya dealing with all the new dance students?" J-Hope asked as they took a break after rehearsal.
"She’s doing great, Hobi," Yoongi replied. "The viral video really boosted her profile."
"That’s awesome!" V said, smiling. "You guys are really handling the distance well."
"We try our best," Yoongi admitted. "It's all about communication and support. Plus, she understands our hectic schedules."
"And you understand hers," RM added. "It’s a two-way street."
"Exactly," Yoongi nodded. "We’re both busy, but we make time for each other. That's what matters."
Through their video calls, they motivated each other, shared their love, and even navigated occasional fights, which ultimately brought them closer.
Several weeks later, Maya received news that she had been invited to perform at a prestigious dance festival. She immediately called Yoongi to share her excitement.
Yoongi’s face lit up as he answered Maya’s call. “Hey, Maya! You look ecstatic. What’s up?”
“I got invited to perform at the International Dance Festival in Seoul!” Maya exclaimed, barely containing her excitement.
“That’s amazing, Maya!” Yoongi replied, genuinely thrilled for her. “I’m so proud of you. They’re recognizing your talent and hard work.”
“I couldn’t have done it without your support,” Maya admitted gratefully. “Your encouragement means everything to me.”
“You deserve this recognition,” Yoongi assured her. “I’ll wish I could be in front row cheering you on. We’ll celebrate properly when we’re back.”
“I can’t wait to see you,” Maya said softly. “I miss you, Yoongi.”
“I miss you too,” Yoongi replied, his voice full of affection. “Let’s keep pushing forward, Maya. We’re doing great things.”
A month later was nearing midnight when Yoongi finally managed to call Maya. He had been on edge all day, grappling with the pressures of finalizing his album while feeling the weight of his expectations. When Maya's missed calls notification popped up earlier, he felt a mix of disappointment and irritation. Now, as her face appeared on his screen, he couldn’t hold back his frustration any longer.
"Maya, where were you earlier?" Yoongi's voice was tight with pent-up emotion, his exhaustion and need for her evident. "I called you so many times today. I needed you, and you didn’t pick up."
"I'm sorry, Yoongi," Maya replied, her voice strained with regret. "I was in rehearsals all day, completely focused on my performance. I didn't see your calls until just now. What's wrong?"
"What's wrong?" Yoongi's tone turned accusatory, his hurt bleeding into his words. "I was struggling today, Maya. I needed your voice, your support, but you were nowhere to be found."
"I can't always drop everything," Maya shot back defensively, her own frustration rising. "I have my own commitments, Yoongi. I can't be at your beck and call all the time."
"Yeah, well, it feels like I’m always second to everything else in your life," Yoongi continued, his voice shaking with emotion. "Maybe I’m not as important to you as you are to me."
Maya’s eyes widened with hurt, her breath catching in her throat. "Yoongi, that’s not fair," she whispered, her voice trembling. "You know how much you mean to me. I would drop everything for you if I could."
"Then why didn't you?" Yoongi snapped, his anger boiling over. "I needed you today, Maya. I needed you to be there for me, and you weren't."
Silence hung between them, heavy with unspoken words and wounded feelings. Maya struggled to find her voice, tears welling up in her eyes. "I’m sorry," she finally managed, her voice barely above a whisper. "I didn’t mean to let you down. I love you, Yoongi."
Yoongi closed his eyes, the weight of his words crashing down on him. "I love you too," he replied hoarsely, regret washing over him. "I shouldn’t have said those things. I’m just... overwhelmed."
"We both are," Maya admitted softly, her voice raw with emotion. "But we can't let our frustrations tear us apart."
"I know," Yoongi sighed heavily, his anger dissipating into exhaustion. "I'm sorry for snapping at you, Maya. I didn't mean to hurt you."
"We'll figure this out," Maya assured him, her voice filled with love and understanding. "We always do. We’re in this together."
Yoongi nodded slowly, relief flooding through him. "Yeah," he agreed quietly. "I'll try to do better. Thank you for calling back."
"Of course," Maya replied, a small smile tugging at her lips. "We’ll take it one step at a time. We’ve got this, Yoongi."
"I’m sorry. I just felt lost last night and needed your support. Sometimes it feels like we’re drifting apart."
"We’re not," Maya said gently. "We just need to communicate better. I miss you too, Yoongi. Let’s not let our busy lives come between us."
"We won't," Yoongi agreed. "We’re stronger than that."
As time continued to pass, Yoongi and Maya found a balance between their professional demands and their relationship, supporting each other every step of the way. Their relationship grew stronger with each challenge they faced, proving that even in the busiest of times, love and understanding could keep them connected.
