There is a YHS fanfic that takes place in an AU that mermaids exist! It's called 'Cold water' By NovaWritesThings and it's really good. It's probably one of the most creative YHS fics I've read on wattpad :>

I dont think it'll ever get continued (sadly) but it's definitely worth it to read it. :D

MOREEE I think I'll prolly change his top to something else, the only reason I gave him it was bc i was drawing the mermaid drawings in front of my parents so i didn't wanna draw shirtless men while my mom is just staring me down- (plus, it doesn't look that good when I draw shirtless dudes- it's not something I plan to practice tho so I'll stick with Alec having a shirt)

Now the angel drawings- I had gotten the idea when I was practicing drawing wings on characters.

I was drawing the wings on Kyran (Of course) and I was like- oh snap- I can make this an AU. And I did- (that's literally how I make AU's)
