Ik it's canon that Alec's hair is naturally Red BUUTTT, what if he has natural black hair but he thinks he looks too much like his dad withc black hair so he just dyed it red. I can imagine it being all sloppily done the first time he did it himself💀💀 Like he dose it himself the first time and theres just this splotch of black hair at the back that he couldn't reach.
