I JUST REALIZED THAT HUNTERXWILLOW FROM THE OWL HOUSE IS ACTUALLY VERY SIMILAR TO KYRANXALEC-
(Basically spoilers for quite a bit of 'The owl house' ik it on Disney+ or I'm pretty sure u could find the episodes on the 'Dsiney channel' youtube channel (the only difference is that it will prolly be out of order soo-)
I was just rewatching the last episodes of the owl house and I was watching Willow and hunters characters a little closer then I would with any other characters-

IDK HOW TO FULLY EXPLAIN IT BUT LOOK AT THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE DESIGNS AND THE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS ON HUNTER THROUGHOUT THE SHOW-

Ypu cant really see willows character development in her designs BUT
In the show: Willow starts off as a very timid and shy kid. She is always trying her hardest to keep up with other kids in her class (in the show there basically all witches so theres magic) but she can never get her magic to work correctly. Eventually being call "half a witch willow" and being bullied.
Although, she had a childhood friend named Amity (SEE SEE?? I almost made Alec amity in this AU bc they are kinda similar as well but I like him in hunters role better.) Amity always hung out with willow even tho she was the one getting them out of messe until one day Willow was kicked out of Amitys birthday one year and then abandoned by Amity randomly.
Willow being sad, she becomes EVEN MORE shy and quiet then usual and always getting frustrated with herself more often when she cant great her spells just right! Skipping far ahead the childhood section of Willows life, at some points in the show she makes up with amity and has two other friends named Gus and Luz and instead of doing abomination magic (it's kinda like making clay ppl alive but w magic-) To doing plant magic!!!!!! :D
I'm trying so hard to not spoil the whole show for anyone here BUT BASICALLY- By the time Willow has all her friend and Hunter joined the group and they r friends now, willow is more active and stuff and eventually having a flyer derby team (I'm prtty sure it was flyer derby, there was two types of sports but I can't remember. The one I'm describing is like capture the flag but in flying staffs-) called the 'Emerald entrails' and hunter, gus and 2 other ppl play with her.
BUT AT ONE POINT! During a dramatic part where her world was... kinda getting destroyed- she was starting to feel stress and responsible for her other friends feelings and desperately wanting everyone to be happy, including her even tho THERE WORLD WAS GETTING DESTROYED- She was also scared for her dads, she was scared that she wouldn't be able to see them again.
Theres this dramatic scene where shes having basically a panic attack/anxiety attack whatever u wanna call it and her magic gose out if control to the point shes starting to suffocate herself with spikey vines. Constantly repeating "I can do this I can do this I can do this" over and over bc shes trying to stop the vines until she gives up and finally admits "I cant do this..." and letting herself be submerged in vines BUT-
BUT HUNTER SWOOPS IN AND GRABS HER OUT OF THE VINES- Hes tearing up (BC AT THE TIME HE LIKED HER A LOT AND DIDN'T WANT HER TO STRESS OVER HIS SAFETY) and he says "no no, you didn't do anything wrong.. can you please just never say anything like that about yourself again..?" And Willow promises and Hunter says something like "just let it all out, what are you sad about?" And willow eventually starts crying and yelling "I miss my dads!" And then all the vines start to crumble off and they escape-
