Chapter 40

Day felt Itt's hand moved to clutch Day's finger and a low voice came " D.. Day"

"Itt.. Are you ok?" Day held Itt's hand tightly.

"Help.. Help Night " Itt mumbled "F .. Ford..."

"Itt You are safe now. Night is also safe" Day said calmly.

"Ford ... Ford " Itt mumbled again.

"Itt can you hear me?" Day rubbed Itt's forehead with other hand. Day was suppressing his anger against Ford seeing Itt in this condition.

Itt was still not fully conscious. Nurse checked again and told the drugs effect is fading, he is waking up. Day kept holding Itt's hand.

Day knew that by now Ford will be aware that Itt is missing from hospital.  And he would be trying to search his location. 

Neil was able to fool Ford's men in a way that he directed them towards Day's house. Though no one was at Day's house. Gear took Night at his place. Nan was also successful in blocking them from following ambulance. Neil and Nan went to their respective houses after the plan was successful.

"Argghhh.." Itt groaned in pain and opened his eyes.

"Itt , are you ok?" Day asked. Itt opened his eyes partially. He was still groggy and disoriented. He moved his head a little and felt lot of pain "...hurts" he said in unclear voice.

"What? Is it hurting?" Day came closer to listen to Itt's voice. Itt nodded slightly while squinting.

Nurse checked Itt's vitals which were stable but Itt was in lot of pain so he injected pain reducing medicine. 

".. Night" Itt said in low voice which Day had to try hard to listen by coming close to his face.

Day rubbed Itt's head " Night is safe." Itt nodded while trying to adjust his eyes to light and looking at Day.

"It's hurting a lot" Itt said again as tears dropped from side of his eyes while turning his face to avoid looking at Day. 

"Where is it hurting?" Day asked curiously.

Itt pointed at head with his hand which was not injured and then to shoulder too and said "Ahhh.. Whole body" as he turned his face back towards Day.

"It will soon go away. Medicine will take some time to act" Day said calmly while wiping tear from his eyes. Day made him drink some water as his lips were too dry.

In a while Itt slept again because of the effect of medicine.

They reached the house which had huge gate. Two guards outside opened the gate to allow ambulance inside. There was a big garden infront of white duplex house. Day was surprised to see a very beautiful house. Then the nurses moved Itt inside house. As they opened the door Itt's father's friend Doctor Ruangrit was waiting inside with one more nurse. Day raised his hand to pay respect. Itt was moved to bed inside a room where Itt's father has already got the whole setup done. The IV setup was there and nurse linked tube to back of Itt's hand.

Doctor  said he has seen reports and don't see any complications but he is worried about his head injury.  They will have to do some tests again. Day told that he gained consciousness on the way but was in pain. The nurses provide the details on vitals and which medicine was injected. Doctor checked Itt thoroughly his shoulder and head wound and asked nurse to do dressing again.

Doctor prescribed  few medicines and told the wounds are deep and they have to monitor the extent and if any long term impact. For now they will focus on healing the wound. Doctor asked to do some blood tests as Day told he suspect something was not right in hospital.
