Chapter 41

 Itt woke up startled and exclaimed "Day I have a proof against Ford "

"What ?" Day asked curiously.

"My clothes.. Where are my clothes" Itt asked as he tried to get up.

"What ...which clothes?" Day asked in confused manner while helping him to sit.

"That day when Ford.. what I was wearing " Itt tried to recall when suddenly a loud noise came "Bam!" . Day ran outside immediately and saw glass pieces shattered on floor. Cook apologised as a glass slipped from his hand while cleaning. Day came back and saw Itt shivering  and groaning in pain and covering his ears.

"Itt what's wrong?"  Day asked in concerned voice.

"What was that noise?" Itt quavered. 

"Nothing just a glass had fallen down. Are you ok?"

"My .. My head hurts" Itt sputtered. 

Day made him lay back and called nurse. Nurse checked Itt's condition as he was squirming in pain. He was unable to lay still and was breathing heavily. Nurse  injected him with medicine. 

"It will be ok soon. Just breathe slowly" Day said as he tried to calm him while rubbing his head lightly.

After sometime Itt's pain subsided and he fell asleep. Day watched him worriedly.

Day checked with nurse and he said because of head injury he may have splitting headache.  Nurse connected the IV back to Itt's hand and called doctor to tell the condition.

Day sat next to Itt when cook came with food for Day but he declined as he was not feeling like to eat. He asked the cook to take back in kitchen and asked him and other associates to have dinner. Then he recalled what Itt said regarding proof and clothes. He called nurse to stay in room for a while as he went to the pool area as he wanted to think clearly.

He sat on lounge chair and started smoking when he got a call from Itt's father who told that there are people outside house and looks like Ford's people as they might be tracing Itt's whereabouts. He asked Day to be cautious and checked if he should send more guards. Day declined saying he can manage but in turn said "Pa you should be also careful and increase security at your place." Then they spoke little about It's health and closed the call. 

He went out to check with guards who mentioned all seems ok and nothing suspicious.  Then he called Gear  to tell him to be cautious stating what Itt's father told. He then asked him if he took Itt's clothes with him from hospital but Gear had no clue and checked with Night too if he is aware who also did not collect. Gear then checked regarding Itt's condition and Day told as it was. Day also spoke to Night and checked on his health and Night asked Day to take care of himself too.

Then he called Neil as he wanted to alert him too. He then questioned regarding clothes if he or Nick might have but Neil told as they did not do proper discharge process so they did not collect. Day told Neil about some proof as Itt mentioned and the conversation was interrupted by Nick snatching phone from Neil's hand who asked in high pitch voice "How's Itt? Can I visit him?" 

Day had to move the cell little far from his ear but he understood Nick is also worried so he told about his condition and asked him not to visit as of now to avoid any issues. Nick agreed  and  said nonchalantly " And eat well so that you can take care of my friend." and disconnected the call making Day smile.

Day felt better after talking to them as Itt's condition was making him anxious. He went back and saw nurse was monitoring Itt's vital. He asked him if Itt is ok so nurse told breathing is normal now and he will be asleep for few hours because of medicine. Nurse knew Day did not have food "Sir you can have dinner. I will stay here."

Day recalled Nick's words and nodded. He went to have dinner in kitchen. The cook was still there and reheated the food for Day . Day asked if everyone had food and cook mentioned yes.

After having food , He went inside Itt's room and told nurse to go and rest as Day will stay in room. Day moved his couch closer to bed and laid down looking at Itt.  He thought since they have met Ford, Itt has been through a lot physically and mentally. He has never seen Itt so impacted by anything that he even planned revenge  and even in this state his mind is thinking about proof. Itt does get angry but it is for a moment and it vanishes but this is first time Itt is being so involved. Day really wanted to close Ford's chapter but he did not want any repercussions which can further impact Itt. He wanted to keep Itt out of the whole chaos now onwards.

His phone rang making him come out of his thoughts. He saw Sage was calling and picked immediately. Sage told he is not able to get any proofs and on top of it his senior has ordered him to stay away from the case. Day did not want Sage to get into any trouble because of him so he just thanked him and told he will take it from here.

He thought of taking help from Kamol but was in dilemma as he wanted to solve his problems on his own and give confidence to Itt that he can protect him but right now he was doubting himself and had no clue how to solve the issue.

Now Day's mind was stuck on what Itt was saying regarding his clothes and proof. He kept thinking what it can be.  He wanted to wake Itt to ask regarding proof but he was in deep sleep because of medication. Day opened his laptop and checked all details on Ford, his social media account and all the stories which were available on internet about him. As he heard birds chirping he realised it was already morning . He saw Itt's blanket has slipped so he got up and covered him. He caressed his cheeks  and  said " Get well soon and I want my naughty and stubborn Itt  back" then went to couch to get some sleep as his eyes was burning by working whole night.

In the morning he woke up when nurse was changing Itt's dressing. He checked with nurse as Itt was still asleep. Nurse told in morning he again felt severe pain so he had to give him shot again. Day felt guilty as he did not woke up when Itt needed, he thanked nurse for taking care.

He got up and went to take shower and when he came out nurse informed Day that he has to take Itt's blood samples to hospital as Doctor has asked for it and will be back by evening.  Nurse provided all the details to Day regarding Itt's medicine. He also asked if Day can inject Itt in case he is in pain. Day nodded as he was aware but nurse again told the whole process and left. 

Day was having breakfast in room itself while checking his phone and looking periodically at Itt when he saw multiple calls from Neil. He immediately called back and Neil told they got Itt's clothes from hospital. Again Nick snatched the phone and switched to video call. Nick was so excited "Why didn't you pick call before ? I think what you told yesterday regarding  proof Itt mentioned. " as Nick heard remaining conversation on Itt's clothes when last night he took the phone from Neil before interrupting. Day move his finger to lip and move his hand in a way gesturing  Nick to speak in low volume  and said calmly " Itt is sleeping here."

Nick nodded in understanding and said "I will check Itt's clothes now" as he did not want to check  without telling Day and Neil also asked him to confirm with Day so he was waiting for call. Day nodded as he was curious too.

Neil held the phone pointing camera towards Nick when Nick showed Itt's clothes which was all smothered in blood. All had disturbed look seeing that. "Check the pockets" Day said in a little teary voice as he tried to stay strong. Nick searched all pockets and nothing was there.  " Hold on... that .." Neil pointed to a button and they realize it was a small camera fitted in his shirt button. "My friend is becoming genius" Nick exclaimed. Day and Neil smiled. 

Day asked to immediately check the memory card. Nick inserted card in his laptop and played the recording. All three were silent seeing the recording as they saw the whole cafe incident. Though some parts were blurred and shaky but it was still clear what happened. When Ford touched Itt , Ford's face was clear and all three cursed him in unison. Day kicked the chair infront of him  in anger seeing the footage making it fall.

"This bastard needs to be punished" Nick shouted.

"Day.. Day .." Itt got up scared with the noise of chair falling.

"Itt is awake?" Nick asked.

" I will call you back" Day disconnected and rushed towards Itt.
