" Tell me you don't love me, and I won't ever show you my face. Push me away so hard that I'd stumble to even look at you. " He leaned closer to my face. " Push me before I kiss you, before I cherish every inch of you. " His palm trace...

TAEHYUNG'S POV
I walked into the room, my heart was still heavy with worry. Vesta had been through so much last night. And what's more scary is how she'd react after she wakes up. I'd been checking on her every hour, watching her chest rise and fall, making sure the monitors showed stable signs.
As I entered, I saw her eyes flutter open. A wave of relief washed over me. She was awake. But before I could speak, I saw fear flash across her face. Her hand shot out, grabbing the glass from the bedside table.
"Vesta, it's me-" I started, but it was too late. The glass flew through the air, missing my head by inches and shattering against the wall behind me.
Vesta's eyes were wild, her breathing rapid. She tried to sit up, wincing in pain as the movement pulled at her injuries. The monitors began beeping faster, matching her panic.
"Vesta, Vesta, it's okay," I said softly, holding my hands up to show I meant no harm. "It's me. Taehyung! You're safe here."
I took a slow step forward, then another. Her eyes darted around the room, confusion replacing fear as she began to recognize her surroundings.
"That's it," I murmured. "You're in my house. You're safe. No one can hurt you here."
A sigh of relief washed through her face as she calmed her actions after recognising me. " Can I sit here ?" I reached the bed and she nodded slowly , I carefully sat on the edge. Vesta's breathing was still quick, but her body had stopped trembling.
"Dr. Kim?" she whispered, her voice was hoarse and uneven.
I nodded, fighting the urge to pull her into my arms. "Yes, it's me. "
Tears welled up in her eyes as the reality of what had happened hit her. My heart clenched, I just couldn't watch this sight of hers.
Vesta's face crumpled as she began to cry. Her cries were raw and painful. Her hands covered her face, fingers digging into her skin as if trying to hide from the world. Loud, choking sobs shook her body.
My heart felt like it was being squeezed in a vice. Seeing her like this, so broken and vulnerable, made me want to hunt down the person who hurt her. I had to remind myself to stay calm for her sake.
"It's okay. Let it out. You're safe now."
After a few minutes, Vesta's sobs quieted to sniffles. She lowered her hands, revealing red, puffy eyes and tear-stained cheeks. I handed her a tissue, which she took with shaking hands.
"Can you tell me what happened?" I asked softly, dreading the answer but knowing she needed to talk about it.
Vesta took a deep, shuddering breath. "I was working late," she began, her voice barely above a whisper. "It was around 8 pm and I headed out to leave for my apartment. My boss , Kian he popped up out of blue insisting me for a ride. But I denied and he forced me into his car. I tried, I tried hard to get out of his grip but he was way stronger. "
