" Tell me you don't love me, and I won't ever show you my face. Push me away so hard that I'd stumble to even look at you. " He leaned closer to my face. " Push me before I kiss you, before I cherish every inch of you. " His palm trace...

VESTA'S POV
"I see. How interesting. I'd be fascinated to hear more about that, if you're willing to share." He said.
"My boyfriend, Kim Taehyung, he's Mr. Kim's son, though he's not involved in the family business. He's a doctor." I replied.
Jungkook nodded, listening intently. "Kim Taehyung. I see."
"We're in a committed relationship." I said with a soft smile playing on my lips. I can never stop flexing about the best partner I've got. "We've been together for a while now."
Jungkook nodded slowly, processing the information. "And how did you two meet? If you don't mind me asking, of course."
I hesitated for a moment, unsure of how much to reveal. "We met through mutual acquaintances." I said. "It was unexpected, but sometimes the best things in life are."
"Indeed," Jungkook murmured, his eyes searching mine. "And you're happy? With him?"
The question caught me off guard, but I didn't hesitate in my answer. " Of course, very much so. Taehyung is everything I could have hoped for and more."
Jungkook's expression softened slightly. "I'm glad to hear that, Vesta. You deserve happiness."
Before I could respond, a voice called out from across the room. "Mr. Jeon! A word, please?"
Jungkook glanced over his shoulder, then back at me. "Just give me a moment, I'll be right back. Perhaps we can catch up more thoroughly?"
I nodded, offering a polite smile. "Of course. It was good to see you too, Jungkook."
As he walked away, I couldn't help but feel a mixture of relief and curiosity. Our conversation had been cordial, but there was an undercurrent of something I couldn't quite place.
This man had changed a lot after his time abroad, but his emotions and expressions were still hard to read, no matter how close we had been in the past. It was challenging to discern what he was really thinking.
Shaking off the feeling, I glanced around the room, searching for any sign of Taehyung. He'd been gone for quite a while now, and I was starting to worry.
Reaching for my phone, I was about to text him when a familiar voice called out.
“Vesta!” Naeun’s voice cut through my ears. “There you are! We’ve been looking everywhere.”
I turned around to see her and Hansol approaching.
Hansol grinned. “We thought you might enjoy a tour of the place. It’s stunning, and we thought we could show you around. "
Naeun nodded eagerly. “Yeah, let’s go c'mon. Uncle tae is busy. "
I hesitated, scanning the room one last time for Taehyung. But curiosity got the better of me. “Alright,” I said smiling. “Show me around.”
