Being a Greengrass after all should sound pretty serene.
But being a part of "the Emeralds" should not, especially when hearts become entangled with the infamous Regulus Black.
Goodness, lawfulness, or evilness. Which path will they tread in the ti...

"Miss Greengrass,
I would be delighted if you would join me for a bite of dinner in my office along with the other members of the Slug Club at 7pm tonight.
Sincerely, Professor H. E. F. Slughorn"
Avery curses at the poor innocent owl as she reads the early morning invitation from Professor Slughorn. Dinner with the Slug Club members sounded pleasant enough, but it also meant navigating an evening of polite conversations and possibly enduring the relentless charm offensive from them. She glances at the clock on her bedside table as she sits up straight on her bed. It is already past 7:50, which means she overslept — leaving her little time to prepare.
Pandora comes out of the shower room in her towel, her curls still damp.
"Oh, you're finally awake. Good morning, darling."
Avery sighs, setting the invitation aside and rubbing her eyes.
"Morning, Panda."
As Pandora gets ready, Avery heads to shower when she realizes mid-way that she's running out of shampoo; there are only a few droplets left in the bottle. This doesn't exactly help her already irritable mood from oversleeping. She rifles through the small supply of toiletries in the hope of finding a replacement, and thank god. She managed to find a travel-sized pack of shampoo that is for one-time use.
Pandora knocks on her dorm a few minutes later, "Ave? I'm going down for breakfast in case we miss waffles. I'll save some for you, okay?"
Avery calls out back, "Yeah, thank you, Panda."
After rinsing the shampoo off her hair for one last time, she shuts off the water and steps out of the shower, wrapping herself in a towel. She takes a few minutes to dry her hair before grabbing a hairbrush and starting to untangle her hair, wincing as she comes across the tangles. No matter how straight her hair is, she will always find knots to untangle. She just wants to shave her head and remain bald whenever this happens — maybe it's just the anger issues she inherited from her mother.
She quickly applies some minimal makeup — a touch of foundation, a swipe of mascara, and a coat of lip gloss before leaving her dorm joining Pandora and Barty at the Ravenclaw table for breakfast. Pandora begins piling more onto her plate; she's already saved her a blueberry waffle that Avery likes. Despite feeling the pounding headache, Avery musters a small "thank you" and smiles at her.
Barty notices the pace at which Avery is eating and looks at her with an incredulous expression, judging her.
"You're practically inhaling the food at this point, Ave. And you look like shit."
Avery shoots Barty a glare at his comment, mid-chew.
"What? I fucking overslept and have to do Prefect duties before class unlike you."
