Being a Greengrass after all should sound pretty serene.
But being a part of "the Emeralds" should not, especially when hearts become entangled with the infamous Regulus Black.

Avery prefers studying and completing her assignments during late night hours, which led her to the restricted section of the library past curfew for one of her defense against dark arts homework. She knows there will be available multiple research upon the assigned topic, but the more direct, effective, and less time-consuming ones are always in the restricted section.
Suddenly, she hears footsteps approaching her and a voice quickly follows, echoing her name.
"Avery?"
Avery turns around and jumps slightly at the sound of the walk before her expression turns to resignation as she sees Regulus Black standing with an illuminated wand in his hand.
"Oh. It's you," she mutters in relief, thinking that she was going to get caught by Filch or someone else.
Regulus raises an eyebrow at her tone as he lowers down his light slightly so that it's not blinding her.
"What are you doing in here?"
"Just looking for a book," she mutters, avoiding eye contact. She glances back at the restricted section behind her, a hint of determination flickering in her eyes.
His expression turns skeptical.
"At this time of night? You couldn't wait until morning to borrow a book?" he questions.
"No, not really. I needed it now, and I knew the library would be empty."
Regulus steps forward as she moves closer to the shelf, blocking her path to the books.
"Avery, you know you're not supposed to be in the restricted section. Especially at night," he says, a hint of authority in his voice. As a Prefect on duty, he felt obligated to make sure no one was breaking the rules, even if it meant intervening with his friends.
"Well, it's not like you haven't ever broken the rules before, Regulus," she retorts, irritated by his intervention.
She tries to sidestep him, attempting to get around him to access the books. Regulus remains firm, standing his ground although his tone is in defeat now.
"That's different. What's the name of the book you're looking for?"
Avery hesitates for a moment, torn between her insistence on finding the book and the realization that she's not going to win this argument with Regulus. With a frustrated sigh, she relents.
"It's called 'Advanced Dark Arts: A Comprehensive Guide'."
As soon as she says this, he walks towards one of the shelves on the left, his stride confident. After a few moments of searching, he finds the book on a shelf. He grabs it and hands it to Avery, his tone victorious.
"Here."
Avery looks at the book in his hand, surprise on her face. She had expected more of a fight from Regulus, not for him to directly give her what she was looking for. She takes the book, mumbling a small "thanks."
