Chapter 65

Sunday. One more day.

I unfortunately don't wake up next to Dean.

Instead, I wake up on the couch of my suite with Roman and Dean.

Dean and I haven't spoken a word since he lashed out on me and started his control freak issues again.

I sit up, patiently waiting for him to wake.

About an hour later, I must've fallen back asleep cause I am woken by the sound of Spongebob on TV.

I look up to see Dean sitting by my head, flipping through the channels as if I'm not there.

"Hey."

He looks over at me. "Hi."

I tuck loose strands of hair behind my ear before looking back over to him. He's turned his attention back to the TV screen, not saying a word.

"Do you wanna do something today?" I suggest.

"Well, considering the fact that I didn't see you all day yesterday......"

"I'm sorry Dean. I got caught up."

"With Seth?" He finally looks over at me. His eyes are full of disappointment.

"No." I lie. "I was with AJ."

"Really?"

"Really. I promise."

"So you're lying to me now?"

"No Dean! I swear! AJ......"

"AJ stopped by yesterday wondering where you were. She said she hasn't seen you in days."

This shuts me up. I don't like lying to Dean. He doesn't have a lot of trust in people and I'm breaking his trust.

I sigh. "I don't know what to say."

"Me neither. I really don't know what to say anymore."

I stay quiet. "Just let me explain." I finally manage to say.

"I'm done with explanations, Charlie. I'm 100% done with them."

"You tried to be a control freak, and I......"

"Don't you dare try to turn this around on me! This is not my fault and you know it!"

"I didn't do anything wrong!"

"Charlie, you're asking me to willingly let you meet Bray and Brian, the people who have been torturing you for months, alone without backup."

"No! Not alone! Seth has a plan! A really good one, and....."

"Oh, Seth has a plan? Well it must be a really good one." He says sarcastically.

"Dean, this could end. All this torture Bray has put us through could end. Just let me do this."

"No!" He snaps, rising to his feet. "I'm not gonna let you go out there!"

"Like I said," I say, rising to my feet as well, "you won't be able to stop me."

He nods, looking away in disgust. "Fine! You know what? Do what you gotta do, okay? But I'm not gonna stick around and watch this end badly."

And with that, he walks past me.

Moments later, I hear the door slam.

I meet Seth in his hotel room.

"Well, look who's up and hyper." He says, still half asleep as he opens the door.

I walk in to see AJ sitting on the couch. I pause in confusion, looking over at Seth.

"Was I interrupting something?"

"Not quite." He says, walking past me. He takes a seat on the couch next to AJ. "I was just going over the plan with AJ."

"I didn't realize she was taking part in the plan."

"She's one of the people you trust the most."

"Well, trust is overrated."

I don't mean to make these comments. I'm not mad at AJ because she slept with Seth. I just feel sort of betrayed. Don't get me wrong, I'm not interested in Seth anymore, but knowing that my best friend slept with my ex boyfriend isn't exactly an honor.

"Is there something you wanna say?" AJ challenges.

"Not at all." I smile, taking a seat in the chair across from them. "So, what part does she play in this exactly?"

"We need all the help we can get." Seth says.

I nod before looking over at AJ and then back to Seth. "So.....should I leave you two to it then?"

"Charlie, there's nothing going on. I swear." AJ blurts. "Look, I know you must feel betrayed, but I never wanted it to happen."

I shake my head. "Then why did it happen?"

"Because we were drunk. Charlie, you can't hold this against me. I didn't want to...."

"Wow Seth, you really know how to have sex with girls who don't want to have sex with you."

He gives me a disapproving look. "What are you doing?"

"Just staring the truth."

"Well can it!" He snaps.

"I don't have a can."

"Charlie!"

"Seth!"

He sighs, looking at me sternly. "We have to all get along for this to work."

"Get along? I'm getting along fine. You both enlighten me." I smile. After a few minutes, I rise, heading to Seth's room. "So, what's the plan again?" I ask, retrieving our stuff from his bed. "I'm highly curious." I return, dropping all our equipment on the coffee table.

We start going over the plan to fill AJ in. Afterwards, we show here everything we gathered for supplies.

"This is risky." She comments.

"But it's going to work." Seth says, eyeing us both to make sure we understand.

"What about Dean?" AJ asks.

"This doesn't concern him." I answer quickly.

"Did you two get in a fight?"

"That doesn't concern you."

She sighs. "So how is this supposed to work?"

"Didn't we just explain it to you?"

"Well, don't you think it sounds a little crazy?"

"Well, you've got room to talk."

"That's enough!" Seth says sternly. "This is a dangerous thing we're doing here. So let's at least try to all get along."

AJ and I eye each other.

"Ya know Seth?" I lean forward in my chair. "Maybe you're the problem."

"Maybe so." AJ comments.

"I mean, look at all this shit you've stirred up around you. Don't you think people might have a problem with that?"

"Where is all this cockiness coming from, Charlie?" He asks in surprise.

"That's private information, Mr. Rollins. You've never been good with that kinda stuff." I smirk, sitting back in my chair. "Now, back to this little plan."

Just a fair warning to you all. Yes, the series is coming to an end. There will be a few chapters left, but I'd like to once again thank everyone for their votes and comments on everything. It's been a great ride.
