Chapter 16: Farewells and New Beginnings

Tetsuya sat alongside the Fourth Raikage, A, in the Chunin Exam stadium. The final battle had concluded, and the excitement in the air was palpable. The Raikage leaned back in his seat, a hint of frustration in his voice.

"Ehh, I can't believe Yugito lost. This Uchiha brat is something else," Raikage remarked, shaking his head.

"Yes, Raikage-sama, he is very talented," Tetsuya replied, his eyes following Itachi as the young shinobi accepted his accolades.

The next three days were a period of rest and recovery for the Konoha teams. They took the time to explore Kumogakure, bond with their teammates, and prepare for the journey back home. The atmosphere was relaxed, with the genin savoring their achievements and newfound friendships.

Finally, the day of departure arrived. The Konoha squads stood at the gates of Kumogakure, ready to embark on their journey back to Konoha. Raikage, Darui, and Yugito were there to bid them farewell.

"It was an honor hosting you," Raikage said, extending his hand to Tetsuya.

"The honor was ours, Raikage-sama," Tetsuya replied, shaking the Raikage's hand firmly. "We appreciate your hospitality and the opportunity for our genin to prove themselves."

Darui nodded in agreement, his usual laid-back demeanor replaced by a respectful seriousness. "Safe travels, Tetsuya-san. We'll look forward to seeing you again."

Tetsuya smiled. "Likewise, Darui. Until next time."

As the Konoha teams turned to leave, Yugito approached Itachi. The young Uchiha looked at her with curiosity, unsure of what to expect. To his surprise, Yugito leaned in and kissed him on the cheek.

"I didn't know you were so strong, Itachi-kun," she whispered, her face turning a shade of red that rivaled her fiery attacks.

Itachi's eyes widened, and a faint blush spread across his cheeks. Yugito, equally embarrassed, quickly turned and ran back towards her comrades. The sight of the usually stoic Itachi blushing was enough to make everyone laugh, even as powerful figure as Raikage was laughing.

Tetsuya chuckled, patting Itachi on the shoulder. "Looks like you've made quite an impression, Itachi."

The young Uchiha nodded, his usual calm demeanor returning. "I guess so, Tetsuya-san."

The Konoha squads set off, the laughter and goodbyes still echoing in their ears. The journey back to Konoha was filled with conversations about the exams, new techniques, and the bonds they had formed.

As they traveled, Tetsuya couldn't help but reflect on the events of the past few days.
