Third person's pov
As Taehyung entered the house, his children immediately noticed his disheveled state. Their eyes widened in shock, and they ran to him. Soohyun was the first to speak, concern was written in her words,
"Appa, did something happen?"
Taehyung smiled, brushing off their worry. "I'm fine, don't worry."
Taewon shook his head, pointing towards the hallway mirror. "First, look at yourself in the mirror and say the same thing."
Soohyun's eyes narrowed. "Is it because of Mrs. Park again?"
Taehyung sighed and sat down heavily on the sofa. "Let me explain. " Saying this, Taehyung told them everything from getting Hyunjae's call to coming home with Hyunjae and Jungkook.
As he continue talking, his children's face's grew more serious and especially Soohyun's.
Before anyone could respond, Soohyun exploded. "APPA, ARE YOU STUPID OR WHAT? FIRST, YOU STEPPED INSIDE THE FIRE TO SAVE THAT MAN AND BURNED YOUR HANDS, AND NOW THIS! DOES HE EVEN LOVE YOU AS HE CLAIMS?"
Taehyung waited for her to finish, his expression calm but weary. "Can I speak?" He kind of expected Soohyun to react like this.
Soohyun crossed her arms, nodding angrily.
"Why don't you want me to date him?" Taehyung asked gently.
Soohyun threw her hands up in exasperation. "Isn't that obvious? His elder son thinks of himself as some sort of god just because he is rich. Your so-called lover doesn't care about you. What else do you need?"
Taehyung's voice remained soft. "It's not like that."
"It is like that!" Soohyun shouted before turning and running upstairs.
Taehyung sighed deeply, his shoulders slumping.
Taewon tried to lighten the mood. "So, did you slay or not?" He placed his arms around Taehyung's shoulders.
Taehyung chuckled slightly, shaking his head. "Of course I did."
Even though Taehyung was smiling, both of them could see how Taehyung's eyes were saddened.
Hejin placed a hand on his shoulder. "Appa, go and take a shower."
Taehyung nodded absent-mindedly. "I will in a little while."
Taewon leaned in. "Appa, don't ruin your mood. Go on the date."
Taehyung shook his head, placing his hands on his thighs, "Soohyun will be even more upset."
Heejin sighed. "She will be fine soon, Appa. She just needs time."
Taehyung sighed again, heavily. "I'll talk to Jungkook and ask him if we can go tomorrow." With that, he went to his room, his steps heavy.
Once inside, Taehyung called Jungkook. His heart lifted a little at the sound of Jungkook's excited voice. "Hey, hyung! What will you wear on our date?"
Taehyung hesitated. "Um, Jungkook, can we go tomorrow?"
Jungkook's voice grew concerned. "Why, Tae? Is something wrong?"
Taehyung sighed deeply, recounting Soohyun's outburst and her words.
There was a pause on the line, and then Jungkook's voice took on a bright tone. "I have an idea."
"What?" Taehyung asked, confused but hopeful.
"Just wait half an hour and you will see," Jungkook replied mysteriously.
