Third person's pov
Taehyung smiled understandingly and withdrew his hand,"That’s completely okay."
Jungkook stood up, brushing off his pants. "I’ll get going then."
After a shared glance, Jungkook and Taehyung went different ways.
As Jungkook made his way towards his car, he noticed Hyunjae’s car parked nearby. A wave of panic washed over him. "He’s here?" Jungkook muttered to himself.
He turned and saw Hyunjae heading towards the building. Jungkook’s eyes widened, knowing that if Hyunjae found out he wasn’t at the party, he would start asking a barrage of questions. Desperate to avoid that, Jungkook started running towards Hyunjae, but his foot caught on the uneven pavement, and he fell with a groan.
Hyunjae turned at the sound and saw Jungkook on the ground. His eyes widened in alarm as he sprinted over. "Eomma, are you okay? " He helped Jungkook get up, "Who told you to run!"
Jungkook winced in pain, his knee throbbing in pain. "I saw you and was coming towards you."
Hyunjae shook his head, "I bet you can also walk. Why choose to run huh?"
Jungkook grimaced, "Uff, stop these questions. My knee hurts."
Without hesitation, Hyunjae knelt down, inspecting Jungkook’s knee with gentle hands. "Does it hurt a lot? Can you move it?"
Jungkook winced as Hyunjae probed his knee. "It’s not broken, but it hurts."
Hyunjae stood up and helped Jungkook to his feet, wrapping an arm around his waist for support. "Let's get you to the car. I’ll drive."
Jungkook nodded, leaning on Hyunjae.
As they made their way to the car, Hyunjae continued to fuss over Jungkook, making sure he was comfortable and checking his knee. Once they were both inside, Hyunjae started the engine and glanced over at Jungkook. "So, what were you doing outside? Weren’t you supposed to be at the party?"
Jungkook sighed, leaning his head back against the seat. "I needed some air. I felt uneasy outside."
Hyunjae’s eyes softened. "Did something happen?"
Jungkook shook his head. "Don’t overthink."
After reaching home........
Jungkook was standing in the balcony of his room, the cool night breeze ruffling his hair. He stared out into the distance, lost in thought, replaying his conversation with Taehyung over and over in his mind.
Suddenly, he felt a gentle hand on his head. He turned around to see Hyunjae and Sujae, standing there. Jungkook smiled warmly at them. "Kneel down a bit," he said softly.
Hyunjae and Sujae both chuckled before kneling down so their mother could reach them. Jungkook patted their heads affectionately.
Sujae leaned in and kissed Jungkook's cheek. "How was the party, Eomma?" he asked.
Jungkook hesitated for a moment. "Um, it was good," he replied, trying to keep his voice steady.
Hyunjae narrowed his eyes slightly, "Did that man come?" he asked, his tone cautious.
Jungkook quickly shook his head. "No, he didn't," he said in one breath, a bit too quickly.
Hyunjae gave him a suspicious look but nodded, choosing not to press further. They all moved to the cozy couch on the balcony, the perfect weather seemed perfect.
Sujae rested his head on Jungkook's chest, while Hyunjae leaned in from the other side. Jungkook rested his cheek on Hyunjae's head, gently caressing their hair.
