Third person's pov
The boy was about to get up when he saw a hand extended in front of him. A voice, gentle and kind, asked, "Hey, are you okay?"
Looking up, the boy's eyes widened as he took in the sight of the most handsome man he had ever seen. It was Taewon. He shyly placed his hand in Taewon's, who helped him up with a firm yet gentle grip.
Taewon knelt down and swiftly gathered the scattered papers, handing them back to the boy. "It's okay," Taewon said, a warm smile on his face. "He is mean to everyone."
The boy nodded, his cheeks flushing slightly. "Thank you," he mumbled.
Taewon tilted his head slightly, studying the boy. "Are you new here? I haven't seen you before."
"Yes," the boy replied, straightening the papers in his hands. "My name is Jaekhyung. Today is my first day—"
Before he could finish, Hyunjae reappeared, he was clearly much irritated, "I asked you to give me the papers," he snapped, "but it seems like you're too busy chatting with Mr. Kim."
Jaekhyung bowed deeply, "I'm sorry," he stammered, handing over the papers with shaking hands.
Hyunjae grabbed the papers, "You two," he said, his voice icy, "since you have so much time to talk, I'm assigning you extra work. Mr. Kim, you will assist Mr. Min with filing all the documents in the storage room. And Mr. Kim, make sure everything is in perfect order. I want it done by the end of the day."
Jaekhyung bowed again, his face pale. "Yes, Mr. Park."
Hyunjae turned on his heel and walked back into the meeting room,
Jaekhyung looked at Taewon, who gave him a reassuring smile. "Don't worry about him," Taewon said, his tone light. "He's just in one of his moods. Happens more often than you'd think."
Jaekhyung sighed, the tension easing from his shoulders. "Do you ever want to kick his ass sometimes?"
Taewon chuckled, shaking his head. "Not just sometimes," he said, "I want to do it all the time."
Jaekhyung couldn't help but smile back. "Thank you for helping me."
"No problem," Taewon replied, extending his hand. "By the way, I'm Taewon."
Jaekhyung shook his hand, feeling a bit more at ease. "Nice to meet you, Taewon."
"Let's get to work," Taewon said, leading the way. "We don't want to give him any more reasons to be grumpy."
As they walked towards the storage room, they chatted about their backgrounds, their interests, and the office environment. Taewon made sure to crack a few jokes, easing Jaekhyung's nerves and making the work seem less daunting.
At the Park mansion, Jungkook had gone to sleep after taking his medications.
The house was quiet, with only the soft sound of maid moving here and there. The bell rang, echoing through the spacious halls. The maid, Mrs. Lee, hurried to the door and opened it to find Taehyung standing there, a large bag of snacks in his hand, bursting with candies, cakes, and chips.
"Good morning, Mr. Kim," Mrs. Lee greeted politely, stepping aside to let him in.
"Good morning," Taehyung replied with a warm smile. "Where is Jungkook?"
"Sir is sleeping in his room," the maid answered, leading Taehyung through the elegantly decorated halls toward the bedroom.
Taehyung nodded and followed her, the bag of goodies rustling with every step. Mrs. Lee opened the door to Jungkook's room quietly, and Taehyung stepped inside, placing the bag gently on the table.
