Third person's pov
After some time, Taehyung noticed that Hyunjae had finally fallen asleep in his arms. He carefully shifted Hyunjae onto his back, lifting him with gentle yet firm movements.
Taehyung's muscles strained slightly under the weight, but he held Hyunjae securely, ensuring he didn't stir.
He carried him to the car, opening the door with one hand while balancing Hyunjae with the other. Gently, he laid Hyunjae in the passenger seat, making sure to buckle him in before climbing into the driver's seat.
Taehyung occasionally glanced over at Hyunjae, whose face was serene in sleep, though tear-streaked.
Upon arriving home, Taehyung carefully unbuckled Hyunjae and hoisted him onto his back again. He approached the door and rang the bell with his elbow. Taewon answered, his eyes widening as he saw Taehyung carrying Hyunjae.
"Appa, what's wrong with him?" he asked, stepping aside to let them in.
"Nothing, he just got drunk and fell asleep," Taehyung replied, "Help me carry him to his room."
Taewon immediately moved to support Hyunjae from the other side. As they made their way to the bedroom, he glanced at Taehyung. "Did you both drink together?"
Taehyung nodded. "Yes, we had something to talk about."
Taewon raised an eyebrow. "What about?"
Taehyung offered a small smile, deflecting the question. "Nothing special, just life."
"Okay," Taewon said, though curiosity lingered in his eyes. They reached Hyunjae's bedroom and gently laid him down on the bed. Taehyung covered him with a blanket, and took his shoes off.
Then he turned to Taewon. "Are you seeing someone?"
Taewon blinked, surprised. "How do you know? Did hyung tell you?"
"No, you just seem happier these days."
Taewon grinned, a slight blush coloring his cheeks. "You noticed."
Taehyung ruffled his hair affectionately. "Of course, I did. Go to sleep, it's late."
"Good night, love you," Taewon said, giving him a quick hug before heading to his room.
"Love you too," Taehyung replied softly.
He then sat beside the sleeping Hyunjae, gently caressing his face. He leaned down and kissed his forehead, whispering, "Good night, son." With a final, lingering look, he stood up and left the room, closing the door quietly behind him.
The next morning, Hyunjae woke up later than usual, his head pounding from the previous night's drinking. Memories of the night flooded back, causing him to sigh deeply.
He groaned and dragged himself out of bed, heading straight for the shower. The warm water cascading over him eased some of his tension, helping him feel somewhat human again.
After dressing in comfortable clothes, Hyunjae made his way downstairs to the living area.
He found Jungkook sitting on the couch, watching TV with Sujae on one side and Heejin and Soohyun on the other. They were engrossed in a drama and gossiping.
Taewon was nowhere to be seen, and Hyunjae assumed he had already gone on his date.
Jungkook looked up and smiled warmly. "Hyunie, did you sleep well?"
Hyunjae nodded,"Yeah but why didn't you wake me up for the office?"
Sujae piped up, "Appa said you drank a lot last night, so it was better to let you sleep."
