Third person's pov

After a few days, everything was going well. Taewon found himself thinking about Jaekhyung more often, noticing little things about him that he hadn't before. Meanwhile, Hyunjae was also starting to feel a strange pull towards Jaekhyung.

One night, Hyunjae was in his room, typing away on his laptop when Taewon barged in.

“Don’t you know how to knock?” Hyunjae said, looking up with an annoyed expression.

“Leave that,” Taewon dismissed, waving his hand. “I came here to ask if you wanted to play a game?”

“Me and you?” Hyunjae raised an eyebrow.

“No, everyone is playing,” Taewon clarified.

Hyunjae sighed, closing his laptop. “Fine, I’ll come.”

He slid his feet into his slippers and followed Taewon to the living room. The others were already there, and seemed excited about the game.

“What is this game about?” Hyunjae asked, crossing his arms.

Heejin stepped forward, explaining with a grin. “There will be two teams, consisting of two members each, and one person who will help both teams if they need it. Both teams will be given ten packets of snacks to hide, and the other team will have to find them. There will be turns, and the team that finds the most packs wins. The winning team gets all the snacks, and the losing team has to do whatever the winning team asks.”

Hyunjae scoffed. “Where did this idea even come from?”

Sujae, bouncing slightly on his toes, said, “I saw it on the Internet.”

“You shouldn’t be searching for these stupid games,” Hyunjae muttered.

Soohyun, who was busy setting up the game area, glanced over with a smirk. “If you have any problem, then it’s okay. Don’t play. Anyway, I think this game is a bit complicated for your brain.”

Hyunjae’s eyes narrowed. “What did you say?”

“Whatever you heard,” Soohyun replied coolly.

Hyunjae clenched his fists. “I will play, and I will win!”

“Keep on dreaming!” Soohyun shot back, rolling her eyes.

They started making teams. Heejin volunteered to be the helper.

“I pick Sujae,” Taewon said, pulling Sujae to his side.

So, reluctantly, Soohyun and Hyunjae ended up on the same team after many complaints and groans. The game began with Soohyun and Hyunjae’s turn to hide the snacks. The other team went out to wait in the hallway.

As soon as they were alone, the bickering started.

“Where should we hide this one?” Soohyun asked, holding up a bag of chips.

“Why don't you use your brain?” Hyunjae snapped, rolling his eyes.

“I should have known better before asking,” Soohyun muttered, tossing the bag behind a couch cushion.

Hyunjae grabbed another bag and opened a drawer in the coffee table, shoving it inside. “Why are you hiding them in such obvious places? Are you even trying?”

“Oh, like your spot is so much better,” Soohyun shot back, hiding another bag under a stack of magazines.

“You’re impossible!” Hyunjae groaned, running a hand through his hair.

“And you’re insufferable!” Soohyun countered, crossing her arms.

As they continued to argue, the snacks ended up in the most ridiculous places—one in a flower vase, another taped under the table, one even balanced precariously on top of a picture frame.
