Third person's pov
As Sujae and Heejin found themselves alone in the living room, an awkward silence settled between them. Sujae fidgeted with his hands, his eyes darting around the room for something to focus on.
Heejin, equally uncomfortable, played with a strand of her hair, twirling it around her finger.
Sujae cleared his throat. "Hi..."
Heejin glanced up, offering a hesitant smile. "Hey... um, hi."
The awkwardness hung in the air like a heavy fog. Sujae shifted in his seat, feeling the urge to run away, but he forced himself to stay.
After a few seconds, Heejin broke the silence again, "Do you like dramas?"
Sujae's eyes lit up with interest. "Yeah, I do! I’m watching 'Last Heir' right now—"
Before he could finish, Heejin's eyes widened with excitement. "Oh god, same!" She moved over to the sofa where Sujae was sitting, "The main lead is so ugly, I bet a blind person picked him."
Sujae laughed, feeling more at ease. He turned his position towards Heejin, "Exactly! Finally, someone who understands me. I’m only watching for the second lead."
Heejin nodded vigorously, her eyes sparkling. "I know, right? And the best friend is such a bitch."
Sujae leaned forward, "Totally! She’s always causing trouble for no reason."
Heejin rolled her eyes dramatically. "And don’t even get me started on that ridiculous plot twist in episode seven. Like, come on, who didn’t see that coming?"
Sujae slapped his knee, laughing. "Yes! It was so obvious! I was like, 'Really? That’s the best you could come up with?'"
They continued to chat about the drama, their initial awkwardness melting away as they shared their opinions and favorite moments.
Heejin was gesturing wildly as she described her favorite scenes and Sujae nodding along, occasionally adding his own thoughts.
Meanwhile, in Taewon’s room........
As Hyunjae and Taewon realized their position, Hyunjae immediately scrambled off Taewon, his face flushed with embarrassment.
"I came here to apologize for my behavior," he blurted out, his words rushed and stumbling over each other.
Without waiting for a response, Hyunjae bolted out of the room, his footsteps echoing down the hallway. Taewon remained on the bed, still processing what had just happened. He nodded to himself, his mind racing, before finally shaking off his shock and heading towards the living room.
"What the hell just happened! One moment he was on top of me and the other moment, he was apologizing and running away!"
Back in the living room, Taehyung appeared with a tray of cake and juice for everyone. He placed the tray on the coffee table, and the room quickly filled with the sound of clinking glasses.
Sujae and Heejin were now sitting close together, laughing and talking as if they had been friends forever.
Taewon joined them, taking a seat beside his father. It seemed like everyone was getting along better than he had expected.
After a few minutes, Jungkook and Soohyun came down the stairs. Taehyung's attention immediately snapped to them, his eyes scanning their faces for any signs of anger. Instead, he saw that both were smiling and seemed to be in good moods. He silently thanked God that there hadn't been any fights.
Everyone settled down, and Taehyung handed out slices of cake. Jungkook sat beside Taehyung, their shoulders brushing against each other.
Taehyung cut a small piece of cake and held it up to Jungkook’s lips, a shy smile playing on his own.
