Third person's pov
After calming himself down in the bathroom, Sujae took a deep breath and splashed water on his face. He stared at his reflection, silently giving himself a pep talk.
"You can totally ignore them Sujae. Don't let them get to you." With a determined nod, he dried his face and walked back to his class.
At the end of the collage day, Sujae was relieved to see Hyunjae's car waiting for him as soon as he stepped out because he wanted to get out of this place as soon as possible.
He walked over the car quickly and got inside, the familiar scent of the car bringing him a bit of comfort.
"Hyung, didn't you go to the company today?" Sujae asked, his voice sounding more tired than usual.
Hyunjae shook his head. "There weren't any meetings today, so it doesn't matter much."
Sujae nodded and leaned his head against the window, staring out at the passing scenery.
"Are you feeling sick?" Hyunjae asked as he started driving.
Sujae shook his head. "No, why hyung?"
"You aren't in your usual mood, that's why," Hyunjae said, glancing over at him.
Sujae sighed. "It's nothing. I just didn't get good grades on a biology test."
Hyunjae nudged him gently. "When did the great Sujae start worrying about marks? Did something really happen, baby? You can tell hyung."
Sujae shook his head again, this time more firmly. "My stomach hurts a bit."
It was a lie, and he felt guilty for it, but he didn't want Hyunjae to know about Jun's hurtful words.
"Is it hurting a lot?" Hyunjae's concern deepened.
"Just a bit, it will be fine when I rest," Sujae replied, forcing a small smile.
Hyunjae patted his cheek gently. "You can take a nap. I'll wake you up when we arrive home."
Sujae nodded, his head still leaning against the window. The emotional exhaustion, combined with the headache from crying, made it easy for him to fall asleep quickly.
When they reached home, Hyunjae saw that Sujae was still sleeping peacefully. Not wanting to disturb him, Hyunjae quietly got out of the car, walked around to Sujae's side, and gently opened the door. He undid Sujae's seatbelt and carefully lifted him out of the car, carrying him inside.
Jungkook was in the kitchen, happily baking a cake, when one of the maids informed him that Hyunjae and Sujae had arrived.
Smiling, Jungkook washed his hands and walked to the living room, just in time to see Hyunjae carrying Sujae towards his bedroom.
Panic flashed across Jungkook's face, and he quickly ran over. "What happened to him?"
Hyunjae shook his head. "Nothing, Eomma. He's fine. He had a little stomach ache in the car and he fell asleep. I didn't want to disturb him, so I decided to carry him."
Jungkook nodded, relieved but still concerned. Hyunjae continued carrying Sujae to his bedroom and gently laid him on the bed. He made sure Sujae was comfortable before quietly leaving the room.
As Hyunjae came back downstairs, Jungkook looked at him with worry in his eyes, "Did something happen at Sujae’s collage?"
Hyunjae shrugged. "I'm not sure. He didn't tell me anything. I tried many times."
Jungkook's worry deepened. "I'll try to ask him when he wakes up."
Hyunjae nodded and glanced at his watch. "I have to go out with a few friends. I'll be back in less than an hour, okay?"
