The plan had seemed promising until Homecoming was abruptly moved to Tyler's house. Sabrina stood in the courtyard, chatting with Jeremy and Caroline, a beer in hand. "You should go find Tyler!" Sabrina teased her sister, giving her a playful shove toward the boy. Her outfit, a form-fitting black dress with delicate spaghetti straps and a plunging neckline, accentuated her determination to salvage the evening. Excusing herself to locate Rebekah, Sabrina navigated through the dimly lit grounds that felt strangely disconnected from the lively celebration. Her heels sank into the soft earth as she pushed through dense foliage overhanging the narrow dirt path.
"Hello?" Sabrina called out, a hint of unease in her voice, as she caught a flicker of movement and heard the distant thump of music behind her. Another twig snapped somewhere in the shadows, causing her heart to race. "Who's there?" she demanded, her tone wavering slightly with uncertainty. Before she could react, a figure emerged from the darkness, sending a shiver down her spine. "Who are you?" Sabrina's voice quivered as she tried to maintain composure, but her words were abruptly stifled as a strong arm encircled her from behind, a towel-covered hand pressing firmly over her mouth.
Fear surged through Sabrina as she struggled against her assailant's grip, her mind racing with a desperate need to break free. The acrid scent of earth and sweat filled her senses, intensifying her terror. The struggle was brief but intense, leaving Sabrina breathless and disoriented. Her vision blurred, the world spinning around her, until darkness enveloped her consciousness.
