"Love, get up. We're going to see that bitch Carol Lockwood," Rebekah said, startling Sabrina from her sleep and shaking her gently.
"What? No, it's fucking nine in the morning," Sabrina cried, pulling the pillow over her face.
"I'll get you coffee," Rebekah sang.
"I already got her some," Klaus yelled from the door.
Peeking her eyes from under the pillow, Sabrina stuck out her hand from the blanket, waiting for the mug to be placed in it. The mates laughed as she found it and drank it from under the covers. After chugging it, she stuck the mug out, and Klaus took it. Finally showing her face, the two looked at her. Rebekah sat beside her as Sabrina laid her head on her shoulder. Niklaus stayed staring at the two.
"What?" Sabrina yawned, looking at him as he smirked.
"Nothing, love. You just look gorgeous," he said with a smile before adding, "even with bedhead that could scare off a werewolf."
Sabrina narrowed her eyes playfully. "Oh, ha ha, Klaus. If my bedhead can scare off a werewolf, imagine what it could do to a pompous Original like you."
Klaus chuckled, holding up his hands in mock surrender. "Point taken, love. I'll remember to tread carefully."
Rebekah rolled her eyes. "Come on, if we don't leave soon, we'll be late."
"Is Nik coming?" Sabrina asked as he shook his head.
"Other business to care for," he spoke as she slowly sunk closer to the bed.
"No, love," Rebekah yelled as she giggled and grasped the sheets. "Nik, get her."
Rebekah demanded as Klaus knelt on the bed. Sabrina still hidden under the thick quilt, squealed as he felt for her form. Grabbing her waist and the blanket, Klaus threw her over his shoulder, and she felt the cold air hit her back.
"You did this, love," Rebekah yelled as she followed behind.
Throwing Sabrina lightly onto Rebekah's bed, the other woman pulled out an outfit, making the two match—Rebekah in a green shirt and Sabrina in a black shirt with their jackets and pants matching. Taking her outfit off the bed after Rebekah had thrown it, Sabrina got dressed.
"Come on, love," Rebekah spoke, holding out her hand.
Sabrina kissed Klaus goodbye and held Rebekah's hand, the two walking to the car park where Sabrina drove.
"I'll teach you how to drive," she offered as Rebekah side-eyed her.
"Why, when you can drive me?" she joked, causing Sabrina to shake her head as she pulled into the spot.
"You actually made a meeting with Carol Lockwood over these trees?" Sabrina asked as Rebekah nodded.
"Remember, they can kill us," she sang as Sabrina slapped her ass.
Walking in, they spotted Carol at a two-person table. Sabrina deadpanned and looked at Rebekah. "I wasn't supposed to come."
"But it's so much better," Rebekah whined as Sabrina glared.
"Where am I gonna sit?"
"On my lap."
"No, Rebekah, you're sitting on mine," she joked as Rebekah approached the table.
Rolling her eyes, Sabrina sat down first, Rebekah on top, causing the mayor to clear her throat at the lack of class. "Thank you for meeting with us, Mayor. I figured as head of the preservation society, you'd be a good person to ask about the oldest trees in this community," Rebekah asked as Sabrina wrapped her arms around her waist.
"A long line of Lockwood women used to keep those records back before any of them actually had jobs."
"I've been to the founders' archive, but I can't seem to find any record on the tree we're looking for," Rebekah spoke after a fake airy laugh.
"It probably got cut down. Big ole trees built half this town in the 1900s."
The two then eyed Stefan and Damon as they walked by. Sabrina knew about the past between Rebekah and both of the men, causing her to scoff.
"Do you happen to know who kept the milling ledgers from that period?"
"Back then, the Salvatores owned the milling company."
The two mates shared a look. "Thank you so much, Mayor," Rebekah smiled, standing and dusting off her pants.
As Sabrina stood, Carol spoke, "Sabrina, please stay a moment."
Sabrina looked worried and sat back down. "Yeah, Carol, what's wrong?" she asked, looking at the older woman, whispering as if Rebekah wasn't right behind or as if she didn't have vampire hearing.
"Please stay safe. Your mother is worried sick. Do you have vervain for protection?" Carol hoped, hoping she wasn't being compelled.
"My siblings and I force it into her coffee. And no disrespect, Carol, but we are the best protection for her," Rebekah bit back, taking Sabrina's hand as she dragged her to the bar.
