Coughing Sabrina awoke, wiping her scorching lips, and looked around. All she saw was the ceiling before she sat up and realized she was confined in the Lockwood mansion's pantry. Two people watched her from the corner. She was about to stand when they flashed gold eyes. She understood they were hybrids, and she lowered herself farther to the tile floor. Reaching for anything. She came up empty on the clean, cool tiles.
Then the door directly in front of her opened, revealing a petite black girl with an Alice Cullen hairdo. "Just tell me what you want," Sabrina yelled, pushing herself as close to the ground and wall as possible. The two men grabbed the smiling girl as she kicked and struggled. "Don't..we need her conscience for Mikael!" she yelled. The girl froze in terror. "Please stop!" she screamed. "Help somebody, help me!" she shouted, her voice raspy as she was handed over to the female hybrid. Holding her like a cop, the hybrid dug her claws into the human, drawing blood, and when that didn't stop her, she grabbed her arm around her waist and dug so hard she could barely breathe. Sabrina was dragged to the front of the house, a hand around her lips. Hearing people approach, she muted her screams, and they became silent. I saw the man from before, waiting outside the entrance, with perhaps ten hybrids stationed behind him. The woman released Sabrina as she moved to stand in front of the door. Two new hands are now holding her. "And they can be compelled by me," Mikael stated as Sabrina was pushed back into the girl's arms. Looking at Nik, her heart broke, and a light appeared in his eyes as he noticed her. His face darkened as he assessed the scenario. Swallowing deeply, he stared at Sabrina, then at Mikael. She finally felt it three months later: the sensation of a complete love story in seconds, and she was about to lose it all. "Come out and face me, Niklaus, or she dies." As her mate spoke, the color drained from her face. "Go ahead, kill her," he said frankly. "No, Nik, he'll do it." "If she dies, you and your siblings will have nothing left, and after her, I'll go straight to the doppelganger." "I don't need them; I just need to be rid of you." "To what end, Niklaus, so you can live forever with no one by your side? Nobody cares about you anymore, boy?" Mikael spits as Sabrina mouthed, "I do." The hybrid's eyes shifted to her for a brief moment before watering further. "Who do you have other than the people whose allegiance you coerced? no-one... No one " Again he whispered. Gritting, Klaus stood more erect. "I'm calling your bluff father to kill her" "Come outside and face you little coward and you won't have to face me" Mikael spoke quietly. He teased and baited him as a single tear fell down his cheek, making her feel dreadfully scared and horrible. "My whole life you've underestimated me. If you kill her you lose your leverage so go ahead go on kill her. Come on, old man, kill her." However, she was more concerned about his safety at that precise moment than she was about her death. He roared at Mikael, "KILL HER." "Ah your impulse Niklaus has and forever will be the one thing that keeps you from truly being great" Sabrina felt a sharp jab and then an aggressive thrust as he finished. Her sobbing on the ground was accompanied by a torrent of pain that sent the companions gasping as she sank to the ground. Mikael chuckled as Klaus let out an agonized cry and a whooshing noise echoed around the house. "Nik," she sobbed while lying still on the ground. Glancing up, she noticed Damon perched above Klaus. "Elena," she said, glancing at the woman next to her, who sent her a chilly stare before hurling grenade-like items at the hybrids beneath. She felt her eyelids close and realized there was nothing more she could do but accept death. Though it wasn't her ideal life, she lived it and, for the limited time she was there, it was respectable.
