Kivana Stewart

I put the last few touches on my make up before grabbing my purse, I walked toward the door and grabbed my coat. I heard someone clear there throat and looked over my shoulder to Kivan leaning on the door with his arms folded.

"Where are you going ma'am?" He asked.

"Well if you must know, I am going out for a few drinks with Tori." I said.

"Mhmmmmmmm." He said.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing, be careful...Denver isn't as safe as Korea remember that." He said.

I nodded before leaving, I pulled up to the bar and got out of my car...I felt a shiver run down my spine before I stopped and looked around the dark parking lot. I don't know what's been going on but I've been getting uneasy feelings all day.

I shook it off and went into the bar, I looked around before my eyes found Tori. I headed to her pushing past the dancing bodies around me.

"Kivana, you made it." She smiled standing.

I embraced her in a hug and smiled.

"I did." I said sitting beside her.

"I am glad you decided to come tonight." She said.

"Yeah, it has actually been a while since I've had a drink with a friend." I sighed.

"Well it's a start." She smiled.

We began catching up on what we've missed the pass 14 years, it suddenly felt like old times.

I watched as Kiara laughed and giggled with her mother as they went over color schemes for this fluke ass wedding. I didn't even propose, yet they're both planning all these events and what not, I rubbed my temples as my mother came into the house.

"Hey mom." I smiled.

She looked at me and disappointment filled her eyes before she sat beside me, she looked toward Kiara and Melissa and shook her head.

"You're really going to marry her?" She asked.

I looked at her before looking away, she took my silence as an answer.

"Who initiated the abortions?" She asked.

"We both had came to an agreement." I said.

"Seven times?" She asked.

"I'm not ready to be a father." I said.

"Yet you laid down with her...I'm all about pro choice but...seven times." She said.

I winced at her tone and sighed.

"I know it's horrible Mom but we will be more careful." I said.

She scuffed and shook her head.
