Kivana Stewart
I wiped my eyes before I looked at Mrs.Lee, She gave me a warm smile before wiped my tears.
"You're lucky I love you, this is louis vuitton." She joked.
I laughed and sniffed.
"Thank you." I said.
She looked at me with sad eyes before squeezing my hand.
"You're my daughter/sister in law." She joked.
I shook my head and chuckled.
"But no, I'm sorry this has happened to you...I can't imagine how you're handling all of this." She said.
"Thank you." I said.
"How are you?" She asked.
"I'm...trying." I said.
"There is no rush for you to be better, or for you to be back to yourself again. With what you went through, I'm not expecting you to be back to yourself because that will never happen. Heal and live with the fact that you are a survivor." She said.
I squeezed her hand and nodded as tears fell out of my eyes.
"Thank you." I mumbled.
"You're more than welcome Kivana, and don't you worry when it comes to that trial the Lee family will stand behind you." She said.
I embraced her in a tight hug before standing.
"I'm going to go." I mumbled.
"Ok, call me anytime for anything." She said putting my sunglasses on my face.
I smiled and nodded before walking away, I glanced at Simon who already had his eyes on me. I held his gaze before I tore away opening the car door, I got inside before pulling off...I drove and just drove until I reach the home that changed my life.
I crouched under caution tape before checking my surroundings, the sound of my footsteps on the steps filled my ears. I opened the door before stepping inside, I closed my eyes and let out a shaky breath.
I looked at the stair case and seen a blood stain on the floor before I removed my sunglasses. I looked around the living room as flashes of the beatings and the rapes and the degrading filled my head.
I felt my knees go weak as I began to sob, I heard the floor creek before I quickly pulled out the knife.
"It's just me darling." Simon said putting his hands up.
I looked at him and sniffed gripping the knife tighter.
"I'm not here to harm you, I'll stay outside if you want me to. I just followed you because I was worried." He said.
"Stay ten feet back and leave the door open." I said.
He looked at me and nodded before keeping his distance, I sniffed before I looked around.
