I smiled and wave as I held onto my fiancè hand. I locked eyes with him and smiled, he was the love of my life. Lee Byung-Yoon, First son of the Lee family. A very prestige family I must add.
We met in college and been stuck at the hip since. He taught me Korean in university, and I exchange with him English. We've been together for seven years, of course we had our own problems. What couple didn't? Did his family hate me? Some did some didn't but I endured because I loved him.
"Mr.Lee over here."
We faced the paparazzi and smiled, I could never get use to this type of position but he was in the running for CEO of Lee Industrials. He was very popular and I was happy to be by his side.
We walked into the gala hand in hand.
"Did you really have to wear yellow?" He whispered.
I looked over my gown before glancing at him.
"What's wrong? You don't like it?" I asked.
"I just prefer you in red, makes you look skinnier." He said.
I scuffed, skinnier? I understand I had thighs and a fat ass to match but...he loved me as I was. Or so I thought.
"Byung, come meet some of the board members." Mrs.Lee said.
He pecked my cheek before following his mother. I decided to go to the bar because I knew I was going to need a damn drink.
"Vodka on the rocks." I said.
"Vodka? That's different for a woman."
I looked up at the man and smiled, handsome was an understatement and that voice? To die for.
"Well I guess I'm different." I said.
"I see, I'm Simon." He said holding his hand out.
"Kivana." I smiled shaking it.
"Beautiful name." He smiled.
"Thank you." I said.
I felt arms snake around my waist before coming face to face with Byung-Yoon.
"I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long, I see you've met Uncle Simon." He said.
Uncle?!?! He looks around the same age as us. I was 30 and Byung-Yoon was 32.
"Uncle?" I asked.
"He's my mother's little brother, we barely see him a lot because he's working abroad most of the time." Byung-Yoon explained.
I looked at Simon and nodded. He gave Byung-Yoon a cold expression before giving me a look.
"I'm forty, and I was working at Lee's industrials in America. So don't make it seem like I was doing some random job." He scuffed.
I felt the tension between them two. Simon looked at me before walking away leaving behind a trail of dior cologne.
"What's the deal with you and your uncle?" I asked.
