Chapter Thirty-Three

I rubbed my temples as I continued typing a report. I heard the door open before removing my glasses.

"Darling?" I called.

"Hey babe." She called back.

I heard her drop her bags and kick her shoes off before traveling to me.

"Hey." She smiled leaning on the door.

I smiled.

"Hi." I said.

She looked around the room and nodded. I looked her up and down, never knew a woman could wear the hell out of a suit.

"You like the space?" She asked.

"I do, but I told you I had an office at home. There was no need for you to let me intrude." I said.

She walked further in before sitting on my lap.

"I wanted you here, it's not an issue." She said.

"I...thank you." I said.

"You're welcome, did you eat?" She asked getting up.

"No, let me cook." I said sitting up.

"No, I got it." She said pushing me back down.

I smirked at her before she leaned down placing her lips on mine. I locked eyes with her and felt myself get lost.

"I love...your enthusiasm." I smiled.

She laughed before walking away.

"Fuck Simon." I sighed.

I know how I feel about her...I'm in love with her, I've been for a while. So why the fuck couldn't I just come out and say it? Was it rejection? Was I moving too fast?

"Babe." She called.

"Huh?" I said.

"I said can you open this?" She asked holding a can of tomato sauce.

"Yeah, I got." I said getting up.

I opened the can before passing it too her. She smiled and pecked my lips before going back to the kitchen.

She made dinner as I finished up my report. The house filled with R&B music, once I was done I walked out of the room and into the dining room.

"You did not have to do everything so fancy." I chuckled.

"I can take it all off the table and we can eat on the sofa." She scuffed folding her arms.

I chuckled before pecking her cheek.

"I love it, let me go wash up." I said.

She nodded before I went to the kitchen, I washed my hands before returning.

"I give to you, spaghetti." She smiled.
