LORENZO

Our time together was drawing to an end.

I didn't want to be alone. I wanted to follow her to whatever place she was going for the afternoon.

I knew it was practically impossible but that was what I wanted.

We had been together since morning. Yesterday I'd been with her too but I still didn't want us to part ways.

I watched her eat the last of her fries, the glee on her face so visible as she finished her chicken.

Our elevator classes had ended an hour ago and since she'd been hungry, I bought her these fast foods that she wanted.

The last time I had fries was during Reece's engagement party. It was one of his wife's favorite food so we were not at all surprised to see fries all over that day.

That memory reminded me of how much time had passed. Reece had a wife, Grey had a wife and a daughter.

I couldn't help but think of my own life. Did I want a wife someday? Of course yeah.

Was this ever going to be possible? I looked at the beautiful girl in front of me and smiled.

A dream

"Are you laughing at me because I'm a slow eater?" Lilith glared at me as she cleaned her hands with some wipes.

I needed to get myself examined because her almost fiery face turned me on.

I quickly averted my gaze and stared at the table as I stammered, "O-Of course not."

I had already finished my fries ten minutes ago but she didn't have to know what I was thinking. She wouldn't take it now.

"Just kidding," with a playful smile, she nudged my arm with hers and just by watching her, my face brightened.

I would never get over how beautiful she normally was. Every feature of her face was so perfect to a point I felt she was an angel.

She had the prettiest eyes. I especially loved how they'd light up whenever she smiled, just like now.

She was thanking me for buying her lunch but I could only focus on the curve of her lips that had lifted in yet another charming smile.

There was nothing about her that I didn't find beautiful. I thought back of yesterday after seeing her in that dress and I struggled to keep my eyes ahead.

We were just leaving the restaurant and she was walking in front of me. I knew I would knock into a wall if I looked at her body.

That didn't stop me from looking and from there, I lost focus on everything else. She was perfect. I know I had said that before but she was more than that.

I tried to distract myself by watching her back but my eyes dragged lower and the next thing I bumped into something.

Or rather someone.

"I'm sorry, handsome." I recoiled at the high pitched voice that belonged to the lady I'd bumped into.

I jumped away from her when she made an attempt to lean into my side and I looked at Lilith, who was watching us.

"I'm sorry," I apologized to the lady and then walked to stand beside Lilith, slowly reaching for her right arm.

"Let's go," I pleaded with my eyes and when she began to lead me away from the lady, I sighed in relief.

We walked in silence until we got to my car. Lilith shifted on her feet and I detached myself from her arm.

Another silence passed before she spoke. "You look uncomfortable," she mumbled the last part while looking away.
