I found it rather telling

the complaint about my spelling

was an offense to the reader's eye

When I received an angry missive

filled with grammar so dismissive

it made me want to sit right down and cry

I use the British spelling

in the text that I create

and often it is flagged as incorrect

Not to put too fine a point

that version was the first in use

the last time that I checked

Tho garbled as it was

it read in no uncertain terms

my writing really should not carry on

And with a closing invitation

one not to be ignored

remarked, you shoulda went and gone

Oh my!

An exaggeration based on one colourful comment and not in any way a condemnation of fellow members.

I actually got quite a laugh.
