Written back when it was all still possible

How do I find another way

To impart the words

This special day requires me to say

I can't

For so many years I've said them all

Repeating them over and over

Sooner or later begins to pall

I won't

Instead I'll hold her closely in my arms

And whisper in her ear

The beauty of her many charms

I will

Promise forever to be there

No circumstance will interfere

And our lives together we will share

I have

Accomplished the above

To the satisfaction of us both

And we'll finish together, still in love
