Chapter 11: Lake Celia

EXT. LAKE CELIA - DAY

Damian and Sirrina stand on the white sand, gazing at the vast lake before them.

DAMIAN
(amazed)
This seems like a sea... it's massive!

SIRRINA
(smiling)
It kinda is.

DAMIAN
(confused)
So, where's the village?

SIRRINA
(pointing)
It's actually underwater, beneath the lake.

DAMIAN
(surprised)
So, do we have to go underwater?

Sirrina nods and takes out a golden coin.

SIRRINA
(excited)
Yes, but don't worry. Thanks to Merma's magic, we'll be able to breathe underwater.

DAMIAN
(still unsure)
Uh, okay...

Sirrina tosses the coin into the water, and a small wooden boat emerges from the depths.

DAMIAN
(amazed)
Whoa!

SIRRINA
(encouraging)
Come on, let's get on the boat.

Damian and Sirrina step onto the boat, and to their surprise, it begins to sink.

SIRRINA
(calmly)
Don't panic. We're being transported to the village.

They watch as the boat descends underwater, and to their astonishment, they remain dry. The boat lands in front of a village with golden buildings, and in the distance, a small castle is made of pearls.

SIRRINA
(happily)
Merma Village!

Mermaids and mermen swim around with tails of various colors.

SIRRINA
(determined)
Let's make our way to the castle.

They walk towards the pearl and gold castle, which, although not as grand as Celdin Castle, is still impressive. They are armed with mermaid spears.

MERMAID GUARD
(addressing Sirrina)
Ah, Princess Sirrina, are you here to see Aria?

DAMIAN
(curious)
Aria?

SIRRINA
(confident)
Yes, lead the way.

The guard guides them to a golden-walled room with crystal clear water fountains. In the center stands a girl with a blue tail, red glossy hair, and green eyes. She exudes beauty.

ARIA
(sweetly)
Hello, I am glad to see you, Princess Sirrina.

Sirrina nods in acknowledgment.

ARIA
(teasingly)
And... oh, who is this?

DAMIAN
(stuttering)
I'm D-Damian.

ARIA
(amused)
Celia's chosen... I am Aria, Mage of the Dark Star.

The others in the room, holding spears, gasped and widened their eyes.

ARIA
(answer Damian's question)
The mages are in the faraway land of Skypath, dealing with a situation.

DAMIAN
(confused)
Sky...?

ARIA
(dismissing it)
Forget it. Why are you here?

Damian looks at Aria with determination.

DAMIAN
(determined)
I'm here to finally complete the last trial of the Hero's Trails.

ARIA
(smiling)
Oh... so you plan on being a hero?

DAMIAN
(resolute)
Yes.

ARIA
(teasingly)
That would be so HOT.

Sirrina gives Aria a disapproving look, and Aria quickly understands.
