Garfield in Madagascar trilogy

Chapter 2

The title card appears as the music The Traveling Song by Will.I.Am begins.

When the crate continued to float down the water, it floated to New York City, when the crate landed on the dock it showed someone opening the crate showing baby Alex holding a fish as he mew'd.

A picture was taken for the newspaper. Then Alex was put on a pedestal nervous at his new surroundings. He walked up more than he saw the people.

He saw the lion below him on his pedestal then copied the move making the people clap.

Alex looked happy that people like his dancing. He continued doing his dance moves making people cheer and clap.

Behind him was baby Marty, Gloria, Melman, Garfield, Odie, a younger looking Vic holding Garfield.

Baby Marty said "I don't like the looks of this guy."

Baby Gloria said "Well, I think he's kind of cute."

Vic said "Well at least we have another cat friend."

Baby Marty said "I think he's kind of a showoff."

Baby Melman asked "Y-You think he's cute?" He coughed.

Baby Alex keeps dancing on the rock to the people and leaps high into the air!

The people said "Whoa!"

And when Baby Alex prepares a land, many years later, he became all grown up and becomes a super big star!

Adult Alex did his signature "ROAR!!!!"

The Crowd cheered wildly while waving his foam fingers for Alex

Announcer said "The King of New York City... Alex the Lion!"

It showed everyone all grown up.

Marty said "Woo-hoo! I still think he's kind of a showoff."

Melman said "You gotta give it to him. The guy's an animal."

Garfield said "We're all animals if you think about it."

Odie nodded.

Marty said "Maybe he should take a break. You know, we could all use a vacation."

Gloria said "Come on, where on Earth would we go on vacation?"

Vic said "We can't get by airport security."

Marty said "I don't know about you, but I want to go to Connecticut!"

Melman had his thermometer droop.

The scene changes to the events of what happened in the first film

News Anchor Woman #1 said "On the loose, several animals including the world famous Alex the Lion the king of New York, escaped from the Central Park Zoo tonight. The escapees were finally cornered in Grand Central Station."

Nana said "He was a very bad kitty."

The scene shows of taking the escaped animals from the crates on the freighter of going to Kenya before the Penguins infiltrate it of going to Antarctica, with it being a deleted scene of where the they put the escaped animals on the boat being seen.

News Anchor Woman #2 said "Animal rights activists, who convinced zoo officials to have the escaped animals sent to Africa, were stunned to learn that the shipping freighter carrying the animals was reported missing today."

The scene shows some New Yorkers mourning the loss of Alex at nightfall.

News Anchor Man said "Tonight, hundreds of New Yorkers have gathered at the Central Park Zoo to mourn the loss of their beloved zoo animals. The question on everyone's mind-- where are they now?"
