The texts were getting more frequent. When I first started receiving them, I'd get maybe one a week, but now, I was getting at least one a day. I wasn't sure if it was because Christmas was around the corner, and he was feeling nostalgic, or if he was just pissed I wouldn't answer.

I couldn't find it in myself to block him, even though I knew that's what I should do. He wasn't threatening to take me from Tasha, he wasn't showing up at the house, he was just texting me. I think that was the scariest part. It felt like the entire reason he was texting me was because he wanted to show me he still had a fucked up sense of power over me.

The more texts that came, the more they affected me. I tried not to look at them, but I couldn't help it. I had ended up just trying to leave my phone in my room.

But today, that wasn't the case. I was sitting at the island counter in the kitchen staring at the latest message. 'Answer me, you ungrateful brat.' My dad had called me a lot worse, but it was exhausting. I stared at it for who knows how long before the sound of the doorbell ringing snapped me out of it.

"Ho, ho, ho! Santa's here." Davenport said as he walked into the living room with gift bags.

We were all decorating for Christmas. Well everyone but me. Chase was wrapping gifts on the coffee table, Leo was putting bows on the gifts Chase had wrapped, and I was just watching Leo.

"I'm not sitting in your lap. Just hand out the gifts." Leo replied as Davenport set the gifts down next to him.

"Presenting this holiday season's hottest new action figures!" Davenport presented as we all walked over, including Tasha and Bree. "Adam, Bree, and Chase." He finished before pulling three action figures out, showing them to Adam, Bree, and Chase.

"Wow!" Bree gawked.

"Cool!" Chase exclaimed.

"Toys!" Adam shouted before they each grabbed their own action figure.

"They're so cute." Tasha giggled from behind me.

"Yea. Now that the world knows and loves you guys, a toy company was eager to put one of these in every kid's stocking, for a small licensing fee." Davenport explained, pointing at himself. Leo smiled excitedly beside me, pointlessly. There was no way that Davenport made a doll of Leo and not of himself.

"Didn't they forget a certain someone?" Leo asked, smile stretching further at the possibility of his own action figure.

"Excuse me, I hope you mean certain few. On the off chance he made one for you, I'd hope to be included." I glared at Leo and he returned it with a glare of his own. Realistically, I knew there were no action figures for us, and even if there were, I wanted nothing to do with it. They were creepy, and having a weird doll of myself lying around was basically me asking to get haunted.

"Leo, Stas, we agreed to keep your bionics a secret. Besides, this is about Adam, Bree, and Chase." He told us, gesturing to Adam, Bree, and Chase who had moved to the couch to examine their action figure. "And me!" Davenport added excitedly before putting an action figure of himself next to his head. Leo and I stared at him as he began playing with it, making sound effects and everything. He stopped when he noticed us staring. "What? It comes free with the set." He defended himself and I rose my eyebrows.

"Right, because no one would actually pay for you." Bree nodded as Davenport looked down at his miniature self. Leo and Tasha held in their laughs as they walked back to the kitchen, while I walked over to Adam, Bree, and Chase.

"Look, Chase, yours is life-sized." Adam teased, holding the action figure up next to Chase. I let out a laugh, but stopped and shook my head when Chase gave me a look.
