"Nice work, guys. That mission was a total success." Chase complemented as the five of us got off the hydro-loop. We all carried our mission bags and met Davenport in the main area.

"Maybe for you." Adam replied, dropping his bag down on the floor. "Nothing caught on fire or blew up. Not even Stas. To me: colossal failure." He complained, giving me a glare.

"Well, good news, you've got heat vision and a whole afternoon ahead of you. And maybe Stas will go all Johnny Storm for you if you ask her nicely. Go make something happen." Leo told him and I then shot him a glare as a smile grew on Adam's face.

"Not funny." I scolded and Leo rolled his eyes.

"Don't act like you don't want to." He replied and I shrugged. He wasn't wrong. I wanted nothing more than to light myself on fire. In the good way.

It had been a few weeks since the accident with Victoria, and I was just starting to feel like myself again. Davenport and Douglas had done a lot of research on my indomitable rage and figured out how to help me. So, now instead of taking anger management classes it was replaced with two different classes. The first was yoga and meditation, which I was heavily against but it surprisingly helped. And the second was basically just Davenport and I learning about my new ability together. Douglas sometimes joined us, but he usually only did if we were blowing something up or lighting me on fire.

"Hey, Adam, check it out." Bob greeted from behind Adam. He was holding a small red and yellow boogie board in his arm and wore the same grin he always had. "While you were gone I got to boogie board with the dolphins." He explained happily before holding the board up in front of him to reveal the huge bite mark his board had in it. Leo and I looked at each other with wide eyes before looking back at Bob. I heard Leo sigh before walking away.

"Bob, those weren't dolphins." Adam replied, taking the board from Bob. "These are clearly the bites of an angry catfish." He added and Bob took the board back, looking astonished.

"Wow, is there anything you don't know?" Bob asked, looking at Adam with pure adoration. It would almost be cute if it weren't for the fact they almost die every time they're near each other.

"Maybe try asking him what he does know." I scoffed as they both walked off.

"I don't think we should let those two play together anymore." Bree said from behind me, and when I turned around she was talking to Sebastian.

"Huh uh." Sebastian shook his head as the three of us walked over to the desk where Chase was sitting. "Hey, Chase, on the next mission do you think I might actually be able to do something?" Sebastian asked as I walked to the other side of Chase, resting a hand on his shoulder.

"Well, you did get to do something. You watched me be an amazing mission leader. Most people would pay for that." Chase replied happily and Bree grimaced behind Sebastian.

"And then demand a refund." She said with a nod, earning a glare from Chase.

"I'm just saying the whole purpose for me going on the mission was to get some hands on training." Sebastian tried again and I started to feel bad for him. I loved Chase, but his ego was too big to let anyone, especially Sebastian help on missions.

"And you did. You handed me my flashlight and my lip balm. Thank you." Chase replied, his tone filled with fake happiness.

"That was my lip balm." I scoffed and he shrugged.
