"Welcome to the Davenport Bionic academy." Davenport greeted as the five of us stepped out of the hydro-loop. His smile grew as he outstretched his arms, proud of the island. Rightfully so. The place was amazing and we had just barely stepped foot inside.

"Whoa. Cool." Bree gasped as we walked deeper into the room.

"Ooh, a window." Adam said as he walked over to the huge windows on the left of us, amazed by the least impressive thing.

"This is awesome." I gawked as I took in the place, walking over to Davenport as Bree explored. It felt huge and we were just in the entrance.

"Wow, the hydro loop is amazing." Chase complimented from behind me. He had totally geeked out about it the entire ride here. I hadn't listened to much of what he said, but I watched and admired how cute he was when he got so excited. "We just went from the mainland to the middle of the ocean in less than thirty seconds." He added and my eyes widened. With all Chase's excited yammering it felt like at least twenty minutes.

"Yep, my lunch just went from my stomach to the floor in less than three." Leo butted in from where he was still getting out of the hydro-loop. He had a hand on his stomach and he looked like he might puke again. I avoided looking at where he'd thrown up, knowing for a fact if I saw it, I'd throw up, too.

"So, what do you think?" Davenport asked as he walked to the middle of the room. Chase and I smiled at each other before following him, sharing the same excitement.

"Beautiful view, tons of space. I'm assuming we'll be living in the basement again." Bree replied, earning a scoff from Davenport as he rolled his eyes.

"No." He said in a childish voice, shaking his head at Bree before looking at Leo, Chase, and I. "Here, we call it below sea level. By the way, the hydro-loop will take you anywhere you wanna go on the island at any time." He explained before walking over to a glass island table. It was formed in a U shape, facing a large screen on the wall in front of it. "This is one of the main classroom areas," He gestured over at it before walking through large doors and into another huge room. We all followed, eating up everything with wide eyes and bigger smiles. "And here, the training area where we'll develop the kids' skills and teach them to become bionic heroes."

"If you couldn't teach Chase how to become one, what chance do they have?" Adam asked and I smacked him with the back of my had as he stepped in between Chase and I, putting his arms around our shoulders.

"Guys, this is serious. You have important roles as mentors." Davenport warned, his face growing a serious expression.

"Don't worry, Big D. We got this. Now what exactly will I be teaching?" Leo asked, bring the topic back to him and I rolled my eyes. Leo was naive if he thought Davenport would trust us to teach anything. As much as I dreaded the inevitable of us being students, I did want to grow in my abilities, so I wouldn't complain. Well, I would complain, but not as much as Leo.

"Nothing. You and Stas will be students." Davenport answered, looking at Leo like he was an idiot.

"A what?" Leo asked breathlessly. "But you gave us mission suits. You said we were part of the team." He tried to argue as bee planted her hands on her hips.

"Hm, yea, he says a lot of things. By the way, still waiting on the sweet sixteen party." Bree glared at Davenport before she and Chase walked back to where we had come from.

"Come on, Leo. You didn't really think we were gonna be mentors. They've been training their whole lives, and we've barely had our bionics for six months." I said with a shrug as Adam walked a bit closer to us.

"Leo, Stas, you guys are part of the team. But like Stas said, you've only had your bionics for six months. You still have a lot more to learn." Davenport explained, gesturing at me while giving Leo his signature dad look. Leo crossed his arms and looked away.
