I woke on the floor of my capsule, wrapped in blankets and a few pillows. I let out a groan as I sat up and stretched. My body ached from everything that had gone down the other day. I rubbed my eyes and the second I was awake, the anxiety about Davenport came rushing back.

I tiredly walked out of my capsule, taking a glance at the clock that was next to the bed I still had. My eyes widened a bit when I realized it was twelve in the afternoon already. I quickly got dressed, throwing on a pair of jeans, and one of Chases sweatshirts before heading into the living room.

"What the hell is going on?" I asked loudly when I spotted around thirty of the soldiers from the other night leisurely hanging out in the living room.

"Don't! Don't! That is one of my favorite sweatshirts." Chase told me as he briskly walked over. He knew me a little too well by the way he knew exactly what I was about to do.

"I wasn't gonna do anything." I lied as he walked be make behind the kitchen counter where Adam, Bree, and Leo were.

"Mhm." He replied, not believing a word. "Adam invited thirty bionic soldiers into our home." Chase explained as his voice raised at Adam.

"No, I invited one. The other twenty nine were hiding in the bushes and followed us home." Adam corrected.

Only a few minutes later, Adam had five bionic soldiers lined up in front of the couch. He was standing at the other end, looking at Bree, Chase, and I.

"Chase, Bree, Stas, I don't think you guys have been formally introduced to our friends." He began before gesturing to the first soldier down the line. "This is S-5, S-6, S-7, S-8, and..." he reached the end of the line before pausing and wincing. "Ah, I'm sorry, I forgot your name." He apologized.

"Hi, I'm S-3." One of the soldiers greeted Chase, sticking out a hand for him to shake. To my surprise, Chase immediately jumped away, and right into me with a scream.

"I know who you are. You tried to kill me." He barked back, a look of surprise on his face that matched the boy's.

"Why would I do that? I don't even know you, friend." He replied timidly, reaching out to place a hand on Chase's shoulder. Chase backed away immediately, and again, right into me.

"I am not your friend. You used your electro-fork thingie on me. And friends don't electro-fork thingie friends." Chase argued, his brows creating a harsh line in his forehead. I gently put a hand on his shoulder, trying to subconsciously tell him to calm down.

"I don't remember that, but if I hurt you, I'm sorry." The boy apologized and I frowned. He seemed genuinely irked at the possibility he might have hurt someone.

"Whoa, dude. Never apologize for hurting Chase." Adam shook his head in disappointment and the boy nodded.

"Wait, so do you remember anything?" Bree asked and I glanced at her.

"Look at him. Of course he doesn't." I replied for him, gesturing at the confused look on his face that had been there the entire time.

"I remember my name is S-3, these are my brothers and sisters, and we followed this smart guy here." S-3 explained, giving us a smile as he patted Adam on the back.

"Well, he obviously doesn't remember what the word smart means." Bree nodded as we all looked at Adam. "They don't remember anything. It's like they're bionic blank slates." Bree added, her voice taking a more serious tone.

"Can we keep 'em?" Adam asked with a big smile. "Most of them are potty trained. S-27 still a work in progress." He told us and I tilted my head at him.

"No, we can't keep them." Chase answered and I nodded.

"They're not dogs." I agreed and Adam frowned. Chase gave me a wide-eyed look and I arched a brow.
