"Oh, check out what I've done with my locker!" Adam told Bree and I excitedly, speeding off in the direction of his locker. We both walked over and stood behind Adam as he opened his locker, revealing a green rubber toy, some hair, lights, and garbage. "Tah-dah!" He exclaimed after grabbing the green toy and flinging it. It had been attached to the top of his locker. Bree and I stared at him in shock. "Here's where I keep my books. Down here I keep random strands of hair I've collected to make fake mustaches." He grabbed a chunk of fake hair from his locker, putting it below his nose like a mustache before moving onto the next thing.

"I need to wash my eyes out with bleach." I told Bree, wishing I hadn't seen the random hair piled  in his locker.

"And here is where I stockpile old lunches, or, as I like to call it, my tum-tum yum-yums."

"Hey, Leo. What's that?" Bree asked as Leo walked up to the three of us, staring at a piece of paper in his hands. We both walked closer and peeked over Leos shoulder to get a better view.

"My progress report. I can't believe my science teacher says I'm always late to class." Leo told us, dropping his hands to sides.

"You are always late to class." Adam pointed out and Leo glared at him.

"I know that, but I don't need it publicized." Leo replied before Adam turned back to his locker.

"Look at this!" Chase appeared from no where, making me jump a little as he held his report card in his hands. "An A minus. I knew my home EC teacher had it out for me. Always criticizing my muffins." He grimaced and shook his head.

"Ha ha! I beat you. I got a D plus. Plus because I'm better." Adam told his brother, proudly holding his report card up for us to see.

"Adam, the plus is- you know what? It's just not even worth it any more." Bree stuck her hand out before walking around Leo and I to stand on the other side of us.

"D is not a good grade, but we don't really expect you to get good grades." Chase explained, shrugging. "I'm engineered to be the smartest person on the planet, and I just got an A minus. I've been relegated to the huddled, unwashed masses of minuses, like you." He held his hands out in surprise, clearly frustrated. Chase began to walk over to the bench in the middle of the hall, prompting the rest of us to follow.

"Chase, I know this must be hard for you, but, I mean, look at the bright side. Seeing you fall on your face is really fun for us." Bree explained with a smile on her face, sitting next to Chase on the bench. Leo, who stood on the other side of the bench next to me, furthest from Bree, nodded in agreement.

"I have got to find a way to reclaim my superiority." Chase said, ignoring Brees other statement.

"Well, you could sign up for student of the semester competition." Leo suggested, making Chases head spin toward him.

"What's that?" Chase asked him, very focused on Leos answer.

"Every semester, kids compete to see who can best improve the school." I interrupted.

"Whoever gets the most votes wins free pencils, a bumper sticker, and a cheesy picture of himself on the wall." Leo finished for me and pointed over to the current student of the semester picture.

"And that cheesy picture will show everyone that my brilliance reigns supreme!" Chase said excitedly. Very happy to have a way to show how much smarter he was than every one else. "I'm so gonna win!" He quickly stood up from his spot on the bench, leaving Bree the only one sitting.

"I call your free pencils." Adam called to Chase as Chase walked over to him. "No, wait, I'll take the cheesy picture. Oh, gosh, they both sound so good." Adam smiled, gabbing the strap of his bag tighter. Chase gave Adam a pat on the back before the bell rang.
