chapter thirty.

It was one problem after another, Karina was losing her mind.

With her channeling Vicki and bringing her back, the witch on the other side used that to her advantage and created a gap that wasn't supposed to be there.

Karina was livid as she had no choice but to send every single spirit back to the other side with the help of Bonnie aside from Vicki whom she hadn't told anyone about. Matt was more than willing to allow Karina to attempt to bring back Vicki, but she warned them both that in doing so, Vicki wouldn't be the same as they knew her.

She would be a vampire again, she would have to learn to adjust before Karina ever gave her a daylight ring, and they couldn't stay in Mystic Falls.

Which led to this moment, Karina stood beside Vicki and Matt at the airport, the two had passports in hand as they were prepared to board a private jet courtesy of Klaus.

"Let me know when you've landed." Karina said as she hugged Vicki tightly. "Someone will meet you when you land, and they'll teach you all about control."

Vicki squeezed Karina tightly, "Thank you so much."

"Be good." Karina told her before looking at Matt who was quick to hug her just as tight.

"Thank you." He told her again, something he's been repeating since she had brough back Vicki. "Seriously, I- thank you so much."

Karina laughed softly as she rubbed his back, "I know." She sniffled and willed herself not to cry. "Now go, I'll be waiting for that call."

The Donovan siblings waved at Karina once more before walking off, she watched them head to the private terminal area before disappearing from sight. She let out a small sigh and headed for the exit, she had so much on her plate that it was slowly eating away at her.

With getting Tyler to break his sirebond which she had to contact her ancestors about, she had been forcing him to shift every night. He hated it as much as she hated it, but he had to do it and he knew it. Blindly being loyal to Klaus terrified him, it terrified him thinking about what Klaus would make him do, so he would break every bone in his body if it meant ridding himself of the bond.

"Karina."

Karina jumped before looking up at the sight of Kol, "Kol."

She hadn't even realized that she had drove home, the drive was nonexistent in her mind. Kol was standing on her doorstep, he was dressed in a pair of jeans and a grey shirt, he had gotten a haircut recently reminding her of Elijah's hair when he first arrived in town.

"You've been avoiding me." He pointed out to her, and Karina resisted the urge to groan. "You don't come by the house, you don't respond to my messages, just what am I supposed to do to get you to acknowledge me?"

"Can we not do this now?" Karina pleaded tiredly.

Kol clenched his fists, "When would we have this talk then?" He pushed and Karina knew he was upset with her. "Tomorrow? Next week? In a month?" He walked towards her making Karina inhale sharply at the proximity. "You're my soulmate Karina, every single part of me yearns for you, my heart beats for you, every single part of me is yours."

Kol wasn't afraid to admit what he was feeling for her, wasn't going to lie about the feeling in his chest. Right now, he was angry though. Livid with how Karina has been ignoring his entire existence since their arrival in Mystic Falls and livid that she reeks of another man since she's always around Tyler.

There was a burning feeling in his chest, he had never been so angry before like this. It wasn't like his anger towards his family or Nik, this was a whole new level of anger and it slightly worried him just how much Karina affected him.
